When Tolkien wrote 'the Hobbit' it became clear to him that the world in which Bilbo walked around was in fact Middle-Earth.

Middle Earth was a continent in Arda. Arda was the world created by Eru, Illuvatar. It existed in Eä. Eä was the material universe as Tolkien had thought it out during his entire life.

Thus, with the tale of Bilbo going east to the Lonely Mountain, and later on with Frodo going South with the Ring, everything came together and fell in its place.

Arda had become a place with a rich history and mythologie. Middle Earth had become a continent with many interesting places.

Old buildings with their own history were everywhre. There wasn't a rock that didn't have a story, or a reason for being there.

This page is a personal tribute to that world. The world in which many people like myself have dwelled for hours and hours while reading, and while pondering.
