"Fight against such of those to whom the scriptures were given as believe in neither God nor the Last Day, who do not forbid what God and His apostle have forbidden, and do not embrace the true faith, until they pay tribute out of hand and are utterly subdued." - Qur'an 9:29
Look real hard at the image above. Can you picture yourself doing that five times every day? Or if you choose not to, being reduced to the status of a second-class citizen, forced to pay a special tax and hide any and all practice of whichever other religion you choose to follow? Well, the goals of Islam are clear: conquer the world and subjugate it to Islamic law. Which means, if they succeed, you will be forced to make that choice.
Often we are told that Islam, a peaceful religion, has been hijacked by extremists - this is a LIE! Islam was founded by a warlord who would take to slaughtering unarmed caravans of merchants to raise money for his cause. If there really is such a thing as moderate Islam, then it contradicts both the Qur'an as well as both the words (hadith) and deeds of its founding "prophet". If there really is such a thing as moderate Islam, then any honest person must ask, "Where is it?" Why do we not hear Islamic leaders decrying the rampant violence that occurs in the name of their religion on a daily basis? The reason is simple: "moderate Islam" is a fiction, existing only in certain academic circles where the cause of tolerance supercedes the cause of truth, it certainly doesn't exist in the Muslim world (Dar al-Islam).
Below, I've collected some links which may help to dispell much of the propaganda promoting the nonexistent cause of "moderate Islam" in the west. We must educate ourselves, for this religion (literally translated: submission) is without a doubt the most serious threat to the civilized world since the Third Reich, and I would argue even more so due to widespread ignorance regarding its true beliefs and intentions.
Islam for the Perplexed - is one of my favorite articles. Read this first to whet your appetite.
FaithFreedom.org - is a good all-around site with lots of articles and links.
ropma.net - has some good articles and links. Focuses on political theory and current events more than theology.
jihadwatch.org - is a site run by noted Islamic critic and author Robert Spencer.
Answering Islam - focuses more on the theology and philosophy of Islam. The site definitely promotes Christianity, but there is still much in the way of factual analyses of Islamic theory to be had here.
The Middle East Media Research Institute - provides coverage of the Arab media, where you can see the rabid imams and mullahs at their best. 99.9% of this stuff doesn't make it to our news coverage, which is one of the main reasons the "Islam means peace" lie can still be told with a straight face by ignorant American pundits.
The Time Traveler - is an article written by award-winning sci-fi author Dan Simmons (The Song of Kali, Hyperion). It is a cross between science fiction and prophecy - a look ahead at what may be the world's fate if Islam goes unchecked by the West.
