Appearance
Curse of the Spawn stands about 6'8", with a fairly muscular build. He is always clad in his necro-armor. The necro-armor's appearance is in constant (if usually slow) mutation, but generally appears as a black bodysuit. It also features spikes and various bonelike ridges across the shoulders, forearms, knees, chest, and waist. His head is covered by a mask, which is also a part of the necro-armor. The face area of the mask is a skull-like visage with glowing green eyes. He also has broad wings of a 20-foot span, composed of a dark, bonelike material; the wings can be folded over his shoulders as a cloak. While he rarely has reason to remove any part of the armor, underneath it, his flesh is horribly charred.
Past
Spawn's origins are a complete mystery. He refuses to speak of them under any conditions, and as his mind is unreadable, none have ever been able to extract it. Whether or not he is truly a Hellspawn has been called into doubt on several occassions; he has never expressly stated that he is or is not a Hellspawn.
Whatever his origins, Spawn emerged in this world around 1993. His first few appearances were at a small tavern (NOTE: this is a reference to the former Marvel Sim Chat, which was on the old Marvel Comics AOL site). Through the course of many battles and adventures there, he eventually came into contact with the Enforcers, and later joined their ranks.
Spawn dropped out of sight for a few years around 1996. He returned again shortly before the battle with Galactus, and lent his power in the giant's defeat. Later, during the seige of Chaos, Spawn was the one to use the Dragon Balls to summon Shenlong and wish for the restoration of the Earth. During the final battle with the Avatar of Chaos, Spawn was forced to battle Guyver Girl, the leader of the Enforcers, and tear out her out-of-control armor's control medallion, resulting in a gruesome meltdown. Then, after the Saiyajin warrior Ken's sacrifice failed to destroy the Avatar, Spawn fled into limbo to retrieve the Black Condor, who managed to bring the Avatar back to his original persona, that of the Astroman. The next day, with Guyver Girl regenerated, Spawn participated in the final battle with Chaos.
Afterwards, Spawn dropped out of sight again. He returned briefly during the Enforcers' struggles with Khul and Domidicus, acted as surrogate leader of the Enforcers for a short time while half of the team was on a mission to Maqellia, and was involved in a mission to the In-Between, the space between moments in time.
(More coming as it happens.)
Personality
Spawn is usually cold and detached, and rarely speaks more than necessary. He is fully confident in his power, but does not abuse it; prefers close-range combat to long-distance energy attacks and such. Very knowlegeable about a great many things; impossible to surprise. Always has a backup plan; prefers to have it and not need it than need it and be without. Spawn often keeps to himself as a matter of principle.
Powers
Spawn commands the necroforce, and can use it in any way he sees fit. The necroforce is literally the energy of death. It is the source of both his power and his life; without it, he would cease to exist (he would not technically die, because he's already dead). Spawn can use this energy for many feats, including power blasts of great strength, teleportation, regeneration, force shields, physical enhancement, minor shapeshifting, and many other abilities. As long as there is life, there is death: thus, Spawn's power is limitless.
The necro-armor also has many abilities. It can produce spikes, chains, blades, and other weapons almost instantly. It is immune to extreme temperatures, bullet-proof, and can resist most physical attacks. In addition, its wings give the power of flight. The wings themselves can launch volleys of small, pin-like projectiles with deadly accuracy, and also have serrated edges for direct attacks. The armor is alive (in the same way that Spawn himself is), and is directly linked to Spawn's mind, responding instantly to his every command.
Spawn possesses a great many other powers. The true range of his abilities has yet to be revealed, but seems to be limited only by his imagination and willpower.
As a result of being unliving, Spawn feels little pain, and has no need for food, rest, or air. He is extremely patient and holds no fear. His body functions much differently from a living being; he has no discernable heartbeat and few vital signs. His "blood" is a greenish necroplasmic fluid, which while harmless to him, is like acid to living tissue. Also, his mind is completely unreadable, and appears completely blank to any kind of mind-scan.
Finally, Spawn is immortal, and possesses nearly unmatched skill and insurpassable knowledge.
Weaknesses
None confirmed. Spawn's typical loner attitude often leaves him isolated; however, his sheer power has thus far pulled him through.
Weapons and Items
Spawn needs no weapons, aside from his necro-armor. However, he possesses a strange pouch, which seems to have a subspace portal within. It has limitless storage capabilities, to the point where not even Spawn always knows what's inside. He also possesses vast amounts of ancient scrolls, texts, and artifacts; where he stores them is unknown.
