Connecticut Leadership Program in the News The following article appeared in the March 1999 issue of Chamberworks, a publication of the Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce: Synergy Associates, Inc.'s biggest milestone during the past year was receiving a grant for $10,000 from the Dept. of Rehabilitation of Connecticut to work with severly disabled clients to prepare them for employment and a life where they can obtain their goals successfully with dignity and inspiration, said President Nancy Taylor.	Synergy Associates helps disabled clients to prepare for employment and fulfilling lives.
Its biggest challenge was achieving its goals for the grant and holding a vision for the clients that the company was working with on a week-to-week basis. Synergy Associates met that challenge by holding visions for itself, having the courage to continue when, at times, staff was discouraged and overwhelmed, and being able to see and experience its success through positive feedback from its clients. The company's biggest milestone was - as an alternative company - receiving and carrying an out-of-state grant. Synergy Associates, Inc. is located at 354 Seaview Dr. in Warwick.
