Named NFC Offensive Player of the Week as a rookie with Detroit after completing 17 of 31 passes for 268 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions and rushing for 78 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries at Tampa Bay (10/8/89).

Selected to the all-rookie team by Football Digest in 1989.

Tallied a personal best four touchdown passes for Detroit versus Chicago (12/16/90) while totaling 316 yards through the air to post his first career 300-yard passing game.

Threw for a career-high 323 yards for Detroit versus Tampa Bay (9/27/92).

Registered a career long 93-yard touchdown pass to Herman Moore for Detroit at Minnesota (10/31/93).

Connected on a career-high 30 passes for 256 yards and a touchdown for Philadelphia in an overtime win versus Washington (10/8/95).

Enjoyed spectacular outing for Philadelphia in wild card playoff victory versus Detroit (12/30/95), completing 17 of 25 passes for 270 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions and directing the offense to five touchdowns and three field goals on its first 11 drives to help the unit produce an Eagles playoff record 452 yards of total offense.

Compiled a 9-3 mark as a starter with Philadelphia in 1995 and was the quarterback of record in all 10 of the Eagles regular season victories

Posted a personal best 83.3 completion rate with Philadelphia after completing 25-of-30 passes for 284 yards and one touchdown versus Detroit (9/15/96).

Rodney started four of the five games he played for Philadelphia and connected on 71-of-129 passes for 758 yards and two touchdowns with four interceptions for a 64.7 quarterback rating. In 1998 Rodney lost a preseason battle for the starting job to Ty Detmer but still started four of the five games he played for Philadelphia. He completed 68-of-118 passes for 869 yards and four touchdowns with four interceptions and a 78.0 quarterback rating. He also rushed eight times for 37 yards. The Eagles posted a 2-1 record in games he started.
