ASPARAGUS IN WINE - by Lynda

Serves 2

1 lb asparagus

salted water

2 tbsp butter

2- 4  tbsp dry white wine

salt & pepper to taste

3 tbsp shredded parmesan cheese

toasted slivered almonds

fresh dill

Snap off tough ends of asparagus. Wash well. In wide frying pan bring 1/2" water (salted) to a boil.

Add asparagus, cover and cook over med. heat till still crisp (2-3 min max.)

Drain well, add butter, wine, salt, pepper and fresh dill.

Serve, or add cheese and place under broiler for approx. 2 min to melt cheese.
