New Cds
A list of recent Cds i have picked up and what i think about them:
The Postal Service "Give Up" really damn catchy, great beats also. The lyrics are extremely well thought out and well written. Highlight is "Natural Anthem". 8/10
Chevelle "Wonder What's Next" most of the songs dont really feel like they fit together but when this mix of Tool and the Deftones works, its near perfect. The best song is "Send the Pain Below". 7/10
The All-American Rejects "Self Titled" Pop/Punk with a lot of depth and power. The use of real drums would have been nice. My favorite song is "The Last Song". 7/10
Idlewild "The Remote Part" great rock record. "Out of routine" is one of the best songs in my recent memory. This band deserves all the attention they can get. 10/10
Radiohead "Hail to the Theif" a step back from the band's last two efforts but not a return to rock. Radiohead does a great job of creating well structured songs containing both live instruments and electric blips. Some songs feel like fillers. Oh well, songs like "2+2=5" make up for this. 9/10
Glassjaw "Worship & Tribute" loud, frantic and surpisingly melodic. "Radio Cambodia" is the highlight for me. 8/10
