Qinan's Firelizards

General Desc: Shimmering like the golden sun this queen firelizard rests before you. Her hide seems a blend of molten gold and lighter yellow-golden streaks of sunlight. Spreading her wings you notice odd ripples of light blue and green which lace themselves atop each other and down the fragile sails. Steely silver claws grasp firmly to her perch without leaving behind any marks when she leaves. Cocking her head she watches you curious. Her youth still inquisitive about life as she trills sweetly out to you. An aura of authority seems to cling to this young golden figure as she regards you with her large whirling blue eyes. She is 51 cm in length with a wingspan of 85 cm.
Egg Name: Lightly Polished Brass Egg
Egg Desc: Another gleaming metal ball. This egg is a smooth surfaced hard oblong. it has a brassen color that is highlighted with several streaks of yellow-gold seeming to give it a slightly polished look.
Hatchling Name: Aurora Sunshine Gold Hatchling
Hatchling Desc: Falling out of her shell this little gold rights herself. She shakes her wings out letting the golden streaked wing membranes dry in the air. Turning her hair she surveys those about trying to guess at something that you can't quite figure. She strolls forward her wings extended warbling a greeting to all. Her tail lashes behind her as she moves splaying sand everywhere.

Notes: I actually impressed Phenae on the day I became a Journeyman. His name came out of my 'creative' period where I tried, and well still do, putting different letter combinations together in the hopes of coming up with unique and interesting names.

Egg Name: Tillikian Gather Wine Egg
Egg Desc: A dreamy light yellow gold this wine-like egg sits cooly in the sands. The shell is a pure unbroken pool of liquid. It reminds you so much of the tillikian wine that can be bought at any real gather.
Hatchling Name: Fresh From the Forge Hatchling
Hatchling Desc: Glowing like the hottest of forging metals this bronze arrives into the world. Newly forged he seems not yet quite cooled. However the glowing metal of his hide radiates a different warmth than that of heat, as his whirling red eyes survey
those around. His brassy trumpet is for once pleasant to the ears echoing throug
hout the cavern. He stretches his burning wings, little flecks of brighter red a
nd yellow sparking throughout. Flapping those glowing bronzen wings he trumpets
again this time more questioningly and shakes his head. Hopping forward he perch
es on the edge of the basket out of the immidiate heat of the sands and waits.

Egg Desc: This medium sized egg is a rich, deep chocolate color, and its surface appears rather rough.
Hatchling Name: Dark Brown Hatchling
Hatchling Desc: This dark brown firelizard looks much like his brown brother only his coloring is much darker. He almost appears to be black, especially on the belly and the head. But this is just do to the dark richness of his hide.

Egg Desc: Resembling a pebble found at the seashore, worn down by eons of waves and tides warmed by the sunlight. Tiny flecks of brightness glimmer, which could almost be the sand catching the firelight.
Hatchling Name: Corrosive Fuming Brown
Hatchling Desc: With a raucous call, this little brown tumbles from his shell in a fluid motion. Rolling across the yarn in the basket his brown hide glistens as if liquid. Swirls of reddish brown cascade down his neck whorling over his wings. As his red eyes scan about for food, he emits a screeching grating sound, as his gaze becomes reduced to acid hunger.

General Desc: This is brown firelizard. He seems an almost leathery shade of brown. Along his undersides the brown grows darker and darker until it fades into a complete and inky blackness. On his neck and winding down his back and taiul are streaks and highlights of red and yellow. He casually spread his wings out for all to obsrve. Barely visible within the fragile wing membranes are spots of blue, white, and lavendar. He has been banded in the green and white of the woodcraft.

Egg Desc: This egg is dazzling. Peering at its surface it seems you are flying high up in the sky. So high that it seems as though you can see the entire northern continent laid out below you. There is hardly a sound other than the wind and the beating of your wings as your soar about. It seems that from here you can fly to anyplace on Pern.

Hatchling Desc: Released from his odd shell this large brown takes his first look at the world.He seems a leathery shade of brown. Along his undersides the brown grows darkerand darker until it fades into a complete inky blackness. Up on his neck and winding down his back and tail are streaks and highlights of red and yellow. He blinks casually acrching his highlighted neck and back, spreading his wings out with one mighty flap. Barely visible in his wing membranes are spots of blue, white, and lavendar. Folding his wings back he works his way out from the hills and valleys of his cloth enclosure.

Hatchling Name: JackRabbit Brown Hatchling
Hatchling Desc: Now this hatchling is a wierd looking one, it has a brown hide that looks soft and furry, going down its neck, starting at the top of his head on each side is long strips of deep brown that almost look like rabbit ears. Its wings look a bit small for it, and it seems to like to hop around. Its tail catchs your attention the most its white and looks like it was small but streched out.

Egg Nname: Lilac & Lavender Egg
Egg Desc: Shimmers of palest purples ripple across this tiny shell, wrinkling into clear bands of lilac and lavendar, and touched with the lightest hues of perwinkle blue.
Hatchling Name: Sienna & Sepia Hatchling
Hatchling Desc: Picture perfect? maybe. The crisp outlines of this tiny brown seem inked in smatterings of sienna, while the sepia undertones give him a soft gentle appearance. Tiny bands of dark and light wend their way across his hide, paling to creamy shades at his wingtips and darkening to an almost chocolate tone across his muzzle. And a touch of golden-brown can be caught at the very nip of his tail.

Notes: Twig hatched from Hadrina's Aphrodite's last clutch. The gold was injured previously and after the clutch hatched it is unknown as to whether she will recover or not. In keeping with my Woody related names I chose Twig. Not that he doesn't eat more than his fair share, shall we say fat?, but just because I liked it too.

General Desc: Warmth spills across this firelizards hide in the glowing golden rays of the sun, touching the leafless wintering trees of the surrounding forests. Movements catch your eyes as bark ripples oddly and a whirling inquisitive blue-green eye peers your way. It seem you have Whittler’s full attention now and he chirrups a soft kind greeting to you. The youngest of Qinan’s fair he has fit himself right in, flying sometimes with the greens and othertimes with the gold.

General Desc: A deep muddy brown firelizard with an attitude. Somehow he seems to always speak his mind, quite a feat for a mere firelizard. His dark brown hide is flecked and spottted all over in black. A strongly built firelizard he has the strength and speed to sustain long and hard flights. His medium size allows for some excelent manuvering as well and as he's still testing his wings...beware! He is 34.7 cm in length.

Egg Desc: At first glance you think someone carelessly tossed a crumpled piece of parchment into the basket. But its really an egg.

Hatchling Desc: This pale Blue hatchling is covered with orangish brown spots all over his body, only his wingsails are pure in their coloring. Since his egg was near the top of the pile, he is able to demonstrate his favorite pastime for you right off. ! he lands on an unsuspecting piece of wherrymeat that was tossed out earlier.

Cagney
General Desc: Cagney moves with the silence of a ghost, of a drift of fog, seeming to glide along soundlessly. Dark-glittered hide sparks off the reflection from his eye's, a much richer indigo tone highlights the angular peaks of his flanks, ridges, and the tip of his tail. A more midnight blue gently strokes his nose to drift feather-like between his nostrils skimming the very tip of his muzzle. Black-edged wingtalons and claws, ivory highlighted, grip at the air searching for purchase. Dapples oddly shaped, much like the leaves of a silver oak, splatter his flanks and wingsails here and there. One is more prominantly displayed in the very center of his chest. He croons a low and longing note which is only satisfied by the comforting presence of his lifepet Qinan.
Egg Name: Water-Washed Pearl Egg
Egg Desc: Teased colors ripple with the edge of the outgoing tide, the green of Ista's malachite dawn waves retreating from where they seem to at once reach for and flee the pale glow of a beached pearl near fist-sized and waiting... waiting for what? Perhaps indeed to free itself from the sand grain that caused it in the first, the irritation that became the precious pearl. Perhaps to free itself of the hatchling that can almost be seen within the silver-white translucence of the nestled shell, where it remains under guard, picking up tinges of gold and green from the hides of the protectors, tawn from the sands around, blue from the sky above. The perfect reflector, the perfect mirror, it returns everything it meets, giving off alone, and brightening what it gives with the pearly sheen of a greater beauty.
Hatchling Name: Solemn Silver-Marked Blue Hatchling
Hatchling Desc: Deep sadness fills his eyes, a slowly whirling blue darkened to almost indigo. He moves with the silence of a ghost, of a drift of fog, seeming to glide along the ground soundlessly. Dark-glittered hide matches the color of his eyes to an extent, though a much richer indigo tone highlights the angular peaks of his flanks, the ridges of his eyes, the very tip of his tail. A more midnight blue strokes his nose with its painted glory, drifting featherlight between his nostrils to skim the tip of his muzzle. Black-edged wingtalons and claws, ivory-highlighted, draw through the sand leaving scarcely a trace of his near-silent passing. Dapples oddly shaped, much like the leaves of a silver oak, spatter his flanks and wingsails here and there, with one promimently displayed in the very center of his chest, small, but sparkling against the depthless sadness of the rest of his hide. Even his croon is filled with melancholy, of loss, of something feared lost forever, regained, and then given up for reasons beyond control. He searches... searches for whatever will fill that loss.

Egg Desc: This egg looks exactly like the world. It is a green and blue with splotches shaped like different continents. Strangely enough, this egg appears almost spheric in shape, almost like a small globe.

Hatchling Desc: The first thing you notice on this young firelizard is the humongous head! Thispale blue's head is what makes up the majority of his bodyweight. Egg Desc: X marks the spot or so they say. So is it any wonder that the spot marking this egg is not unlike a hastily scribed cross in an otherwise plain shell.
Hatch Name: Briny Marine Blue Hatchling
Hatchling Desc: Swirling with all the colours of the ocean this blue appears in a wash of shell-shards and colour. Gentle aqua hues play across his belly and limbs, deepe sea blues along his wingsails, and coral-reef blues merging under the sails and down his back. There is even the suggestion of whitecaps under his chin, perhaps the sign of a tormestuous nature.

General Desc: This abosolutely adorable firelizard preens himself before you. His hide is an enchanting deep blue in color deepening along his undersides and fading into inky blackness in his wingsails. He seems to regard other firelizards with a haughty air. He lives only for his humanpet Qinan.

General Desc: Ripples of a calm lake caught in the softest fall breeze, a dappled red brown leaf drifting down towards the placid waters read to disturb it. But I wouldn’t as Zyati opens one eye to peer at you. That leaf a hand which has drawn to close to his perfection. Tail twitches ever so slightly in warning, a darker shadowed stick underneath the watery surface which can scratch without warning if one is not careful.

Egg Desc: This egg looks like an intricately carved stone, which was carved into the shape of a small egg.
Hatchling Name: Emerald Green Hatchling
Hatchling Desc: This hatchlings emerald green hide would be with out a flaw, if it wasn't for the dark green rosettes and spots covering her from head to toe. There is no order to the way the darker green is applied. Her belly and chin are a very deep polished and shiny green, but fade quickly into the emerald as your eyes move over her hide.

General Desc: A lovley if not well tempered little green firelizard. Her hide radiates a gentle and kind warmth which her mood does not always suit. Like drawing a moth to a flame her poses invite your fingers to caress her soft gleaming skin, yet get to close and *SNAP* she reminds you of who's boss!

Hatchling Desc: Tiny and every so dainty. This little darling is covered with white fleckings, like icing sugar over her beautiful pastel-green hide. A sweet voice, she croons gently to her dam, looking outwards at the array of giants crowding in on her. A tiny note of panic is voiced at all the stares, while she looks around for some reassuring glance or word, or maybe just some soothing food.

General Desc: Oh my! Qinan seems to have added another firelizard to his fair. This large green is perfectly proportioned. Her hide is the color of emeralds shining in the sun, flawless in their beauty. And she is beautiful, her long slim body is well muscled and full of energy. Watching her surroundings her tail lashes back and forth in anticipation. She is 36 cm long with a wingspan of 61 cm.

Notes: Tasha is named after the security chief (the first one) from star trek the next generation. I just liked the name, and even though the character met an untimely demise my Tasha on Pern is doing very well.

General Desc: A very energetic young green firelizard. Not quite ready to leave her pet's side yet she shuffles about on his person. Completely curious about everything she gazes at you with bright sparkling blue eye's. Her hide is a sparkling spring green with a few shaded patches of grass green along her sides. Throughout her wings silvery tendrils swirl between each shade of green. She is 33cm in length with a wingspan of 55 cm.

Hatchling Desc: A blur zips past you. What the...wait it slows down. It looks like a
green. But she's moving so fast. She runs away again before you can get a real good look. She appears to be frightened as she hurries somewhere to hide.
