Elemental Class Heavy Missile Frigate

(Note: This was made by both Beau Finley, me, and Warren (HBK).

Year of development: 2036 in Tirolian ship yards above Tirol.

Year of production: 2040

Primary Purpose: Heavy Assault

Secondary Purpose: Heavy Defensive Support

The Elemental was made for front line assault, able to take out even the most heavily armoured, shielded and otherwise indestructable warships and bases.

Carrying over 200 LRM'S and another 450 MRM's this beast cannot be stopped by friend or unworthy foe.

The Captain and crew are trained and tested to the finest making the troops of this craft elites of battle.

After Commission in 2040 the Elemental became one of the most popular ships in the REF, nearly 1/3 of all heavy frigates and battleships were Elementals. The problem with this was that they were a bitch to produce, and carrying 2/3 of all the newly produced missiles in the REF it soon became apparent that it could no longer be made in wide scale production.

It was soon decided, in 2042, that it's production had to be cut down to 1/12 of all new battleships.

However since the Elemental is packed to it's maximum limit with missiles it is slow, bulky, and just plain shitty against mecha, for this reason it is often escourted by many ships often including 2 Lancer Class Frigates, 1 Lexington Battle Cruiser, and varying amounts of mecha and light warships.

Crew:125; 15 Bridge Officers, 25 Engineers, 40 Weapons Operators, 25 Medical Staff, and 20 of various O.C.C.'s

Troops: 10 Veritech pilots, 6 Destroid pilots, and 14 Cyclone pilots.

MDC By Location: *Main Body (per 1/2): 2600, 5200 total.

****Modified Deflector Shield: 2000

*Depleting the MDC of the back half of the ship automatically destroys all three engines, 2 Tri-Laser Turrets, 15 guidance thrusters, and four Missile hangars

Depleting the front of the Ship automatically destroys the Bridge, along with 15 guidance thrusters, 2 missile hangars, and 4 Tri-Laser Turrets.

**Destroying one engine reduces speed by 1/3, makes sublight impossible.

***Destroying the bridge automatically kills the bridge crew along with destroying laser communications, and reducing long range radar and communications by 1/2.

WEAPON SYSTEMS:

1: LRMM-40 LONG RANGE MULTI MISSILE LAUNCH SYSTEM (6): These 6 Missile Systems are the main armarment and offensive/defensive tool of the Elemental. These suckers can fire up to 8 Long Range Missiles at once, but the automatic reload time is only average.

Primary Purpose: Heavy Assault/Defense

Secondary Purpose: Anti-Warship.

Damage: Varies with missile type. The System can carry normal missiles or Quantom Torpedoes, which do 5D6X10 MDC to a 100ft radius, and travel 1900 mph.

Range: varies with missile type.

Rate of Fire: Up to 8 per volley, which then requires 2 actions to reload.

Payload: 40 Missiles per launcher, once out of missiles the system must be reloaded back at a shipyard or by a special crew and equipment, which takes 3D6 hours to replace all the missiles in the systems.

2: MRMM-75 MEDIUM RANGE MULTI MISSILE SYSTEM (6):

6 Missile Bays house 75 Medium Range Missiles of any type. Stats are the same as those above except that there are no Quantom Torpedoes and the system can fire up to 15 MRMs.

3: TRI-LASER TURRETS (6):

Placed at strategic points on the ship. These 6 Turrets provide close up defense for the Elemental.

Primary Purpose: Assault.

Secondary Purpose: Anti Mecha/Missile/Aircraft.

Range: 8000ft.

Damage: 3D6X10 MDC per Triple blast.

Rate of Fire: 6 times per melee.

Payload: Unlimited.

4: LRSHM-7 "BLACK TALON" SUPER HEAVY ADVANCED REFLEX/FUSION WARHEAD MISSILE: (SHARWM for short I suppose):

A large Missile bay in the front middle of the ship can open up and realease the deadly SHARWM Missile. These missiles are rare, closely guarded, and only used in EXTREME circumstances.

They are bigger then a Peacekeeper ICBM, and pack a very, VERY HEAVY punch, able to rip apart an Ikazuchi, one of the invid Regents Command Carriers, or even tear a large hole in a Robotech Master Mothership!

These missiles are heavily armored, and the warhead contains a Reflex/Fusion combo Warhead that, if used properly, could turn a heavily armored military installation into a crater, or blow an asteroid into dust.

The missiles are normally banned, and only used when there is no other option. (Note: Elementals carrying Black Talons usally have a HEAVY escort and are usally the most protected ships in a fleet, usally having 1 Lexington (see HBK's website in the links section), 3 Garfish, 2 Miranda, and 2 Valiants as a normal escort.

Primary Purpose: Heavy Assault Weapon

Range: 700 miles. The Missile travels at Mach 1 (670 MPH)

Damage: Hold on to your boxers, 4D8X1000 MDC (Up to 32000 MDC!) to a 3500ft Radius! The missile has a safety trigger that only deteonates if the Elemental is out of range of the missile, but can be overridden.

Rate of Fire: It takes 3D6 minutes to ready a Black Talon.

MDC of the Missile: The missile is heavily armored and has 1000 MDC. (It has a helluvalot of armor for a missile its size!)

Payload: 3 missiles

5. MODIFIED DEFLECTOR SHIELD:

The Medium Deflector shield is a new, more powerful design of the Light Deflector used on the Miranda Class Light Attack Cruiser. It was designed to complement the Elementals Medium armour in a firefight.

It is a little stronger then the Valiant Class Medium Assault Cruiser shield and thus can take more damage.

It regenerates to full M.D.C. every 5 seconds. Thus if the shield took 500 M.D.C., it is restored to full 2,000 M.D.C. 4 seconds later. If completely destroyed, the shield will rematerialize in 1 melee, an unfortunate bug.

Primary Purpose: Defense, The Deflector shield cannot be used as a weapon.

Range: 100ft from the vessel, Completely surrounds the ship.

Mega-Damage: Inflicts none, but can sustain 2000 mega-damage every 4 seconds. If nessicary, extra power can be diverted to the shield, providing up to 2750 M.D.C. protection. HOWEVER, if the shields M.D.C. is raised over 2400 M.D.C., the 1/4 of the ships weapons cannot fire, this includes the main cannon, because 1) The extra power of the shield stops objects on both sides of it, and 2) There's to big of an energy drain to fire any weapons. Under 2400 M.D.C. the weapons can fire. The Shield allows Energy weapons and Missiles OUT of the Field, but not inside.

Payload: Nearly inexhaustible
