Cres and I have been gigging around this summer at various festivals and venues. The next gig, believe it or not, is at the Library at Narree Warren. It's the first time I'll be able to return books between songs.

The Library has a concert series every afternoon at 2pm. It's our first time there and I just hope the librarian doesn't come up and tell us to whisper our songs.

I am working on a new web site to add to the new myspace.com/rileyjordanmusic site. Sorry I haven't written in so long. I expected the new site to be up ages ago.

Previous Gigs:

Fun and games at the Bodhi Tree and the Basin Music Festival. The gigs are coming in and the repertoire is filling out. We’ve got a whole new swag of tunes some of which I have done new arrangements for. This includes Riley versions of Hallelujah and Somewhere over the Rainbow. Cres has been a demon on the keys lately, he’s a regular honky tonk man these days. We’re back at the PAVE festival soon as well as the VIC Market and Burrinja Folk Club so swing by and have a drink and a chat and a listen!

HWe're back from our Woodford jaunt! There's a full rundown of the trip on the blog and I've also put together a pictorial highlights with comments page. What can I say...what a trip.

Looking forward to the fundraiser for the new performing arts center and the gig at the Bhodi tree cafe.

2006 - A Little Look Back few

It was a balmy Wednesday night as we all converged on the Songwriter's Showcase at the venue called "Don't Tell Tom" in Brunswick. We all had a fun night. It's not often you get to catch up on all the goss with other musos. Kerry Simpson did a cracker of a set as did a local artist from Belgrave by the name of Carolyn Oates. Cres & I did our funky thing and Alex Legg gave us a sneak preview of a couple of precious new tunes. Yay team.

Here we are at Elevation for the 3MDR Benefit. Top day. Particularly loved the Ska Vendors mix of reggae funk and it goes without saying Andy Cowan, Jimi Hocking and Cindy Boste were all the bees knees. Thanks to 3MDR for all their support over the years. What would we little folk do without them.

Here is evidence of the trouble makers at the Green Room gig on the 4th of November 2006. A good night was had by all. On another note, David Greenaway, pictured below, has been instrumental in lobbying for a new entertainment centre for Emerald which will be built in the next couple of years. Big tick VG David!

Here is a picture of the punters at the Upfront Cafe on our recent trip to Queensland. There's some amature footage of us playing there as well as the EP launch up on youtube.

Here I am with Wendy Rudin who has a radio show on Spirit FM. 92.3FM Narrandera NSW. She's been playing my music for a while now. Bless her heart.

In previous news:

August 2006

The EP launch at Burrinja was a cracker. We had a great time. Here's a couple of pix. The distinguished dude between Cres & myself is Mike Rudd.

Jimi Hocking has put some nice guitar and mandolin on the new album. I'm madly trying to get it all mixed. Che Sera!

Highlights of Winter 2006

Had a sing with Kerri Simpson and my old mate Joe Creighton at the Cornish Arms the other night. I'll be there for a Monday night jam again soon. The Ross Wilson support was a fab night. Was tempted to sing Eagle Rock in our set but thought the better of it.

In other news, Cres and I had a great night at Chris White's 50th Birthday Bash. We had a hoot jamming with Chris, Jimi Hocking and the whole gang. This was also BIG fun. Happy Birthday Chris.
