Rick Potvin
currently resides in Phoenix,
Arizona within 15 miles of the Alcor Life Extension
Foundation head office and main lab. He is a fully
signed up member so that if he ever "deanimates",
his cryogenic rescue and stasis will be easily
implemented with no "stand-by costs".
Rick grew up in S.E. Ontario,
attended high school in Welland, and the University
of Waterloo and McMaster University in Hamilton,
Ontario. He became interested in the problem of
limited human lifespan early on and, after working
in Toronto for a few years after university,
travelled the U.S. visiting the cryonics labs in
existence in 1984.
In 1987, he returned to Canada, working until 1991
when, upon further visits with associates in
cryonics, he obtained permanent residency in the
U.S., taking up a sales position with Schroeder's
Organ and Piano of Phoenix in 1993.
He continues to work with Schroeder's as of April,
1999.
