Review

Zugya is a fairly neat little overhead shooter that resembles Air-X both in view and gameplay. The big difference here is this game is completely 2D and in a way a bit more fun.

I have yet to see an end to the number of stages in this game so as far as I know they go up to the billions. But each stage your targets are multi-part enemy bases that have their own little arsenal in each part that grows both in firepower and style. First off it's just mundane cannons, then it's gravity bombs, robotic arms, bigger cannons, and whatever huge weaponary it takes to destroy a tiny little ship. This ship of yours is fairly hooked up though. You have a standard shot, a little shield, and best of all a kickass super bomb that not only eats enemy bullets, destroys practically anything it comes in contact with, and recharges steadily.

And..that's pretty much it..just the same thing over and over, the music(pretty catchy actually) changes every once in awhile but you won't see anything in terms of a big huge boss character. Oh well at least it's pretty entertaining for the first 20 or so levels(Anybody that has seen the end please tell me)

Tips

Take that bomb move and just head straight for the center of each base. Make sure you destroy the ones on the outside of it that hold the powerups though, since you'll need the spread shot to take out the more annoying enemies like the flying ones that fire homing shots.
