Shooter Tamasii

A horizontal shmup. You basically get two and a half levels of simple manic game play in this shooter. Not sure if you can beat any of those levels either. To choose you go into options and change the hiuka/haiku? Some word, city is a boss battle against a small moon, the other two are basically different backgrounds for throwing progressively more enemies at you, your choice of a wire frame tunnel or a shot of the moon orbiting the earth.

Game play is simply as can be one button to fire, dodge the bullets. Your weapon is a near constant stream of boomerang shaped bullets. No upgrades your ship gets two hits and you get a number of lives depending on what level you picked. Then dodge the bullets from more and more enemies. Or the moon.

The graphics are not very good, lots of bullets and enemies moving with out slowdown but the enemies are yellow squares and the bullets are primary color dots. No animation, and your ship, the one sprite with some detail is pixely and ugly.

Okay saving for last this game has a curious feature, tapping X will make the screen spaz out entirely, it seams to be a game feature as its mentioned in the start screen. Your screen starts rotating zooming in and out and leaving motion trails. Making the game unplayable of course as you can’t see your ship half the time.

The control is worth mentioning because it is finicky a tap, even a quick one, is sometimes registered as two presses.

Score: 3: Not fun, not pretty, not deep
