What you’re looking at here is three levels that loop getting more difficult, they take about a minute to play, I know because there is a time at the top for no reason. You get a single forward shot weapon with which to take an army of palette swapped enemies, a grand total of two models.. Each level is about 50 seconds of manic side scrolling followed by an easy boss. One plus is that after the boss all it says is stage 2/3 and then continues scrolling the game never breaks (well except between loops) which isn’t necessarily a plus but lets call it a feature eh? Also from the main menu you can start at any level you beaten up too, giving you basically infinite continues.
The only difficult level in the game is 3, it throws a mass of asteroids (that look suspiciously like Gradius asteroids) at you and while you can shoot through them they will kill you if you run into them. Speaking of running into things in this game you hit box is the entirety of your decent sized ship, no scratching here. Other then dodging asteroids, or in level 2 walls of fire, the is nothing to the environments, 1 and 3 and just starscapes, 2 has a row of fire on top and bottom, with a starscape in the back ground.
The graphics have and obvious old school look. The ship design isn’t bad. The second and third boss are quite boring, the first being only a little better, a sort of worm thing (that has more frames of animation then the rest of the game combined).
Score: 4: Don’t bother playing unless you agreed with the first three sentences.
