FAQ for UC2DSP

Why did you decide to do this site?

Rather than simply make yet another site about all of the usual shooters that have been talked about time and time again and seeing as how there is little to no reason to even get into the field(Granted Shmups Mk2 hasn't updated in over a year but they're still the best around) I decided it would be better to start something fresh and offer a different site. This one I can dedicate to the small one to five people teams that sit there cranking out the next Dodonpachi or the next Gradius or even the next MUSHA dare I say.

What kind of computer do you have?

The tricky thing about user-created shooters is that they were usually created on a single PC and don't have the time for endless bug-tests and such. Not to mention since rarely do any of these shooters find any sort of international success(Outside of the adoration of many shooter fans) it's hard to find good tech-support. So I will let you know about my PC specs in case in any of my reviews I happen to list a sort of bug or freezing problem..since usually this can be due to the hardware.(Note I only put down the specs I felt were most relevant. I never had any problems related to my monitor, soundcard, etc, and since I usually play with a keyboard I have no Joystick problems)

Have you developed any shooters of your own?

Ah..No. Simply because I just don't have the time to get around to doing some serious work on developing one. I usually spend more time writing anyway.

What is your fan-made 2D shooter?

Currently I can't really say as I have not spend extensive amounts of time with all of them and since some of them are still in demo form I can't quite clearly put my thoughts together. Barring that I really like Noiz2sa and Amanagi(Well..when it doesn't freeze my PC..more on that in the upcoming review).

Speaking of what is your favorite corporate 2D shooter?

Now that's a tough one. MUSHA, Gradius III(Snes version), and ESP Ra De are prime candidates. I can't exactly pick out a favorite between those three. Guwange is also steadily making it's way up the list.

(Do you have questions? Send them to my email and I'll be quite happy to answer since I have already ran out of made-up ones.)
