Mesopotamia School has been a federal Reading Is Fundamental project for 27 years. "RIF" is the oldest national literacy organization in our country. RIF is headquartered in Washington, DC, and sponsors local projects across the country. Local projects operate free book programs and reading promotional activities. Costs are shared between federal funds and local monies.....MESOPOTAMIA ELEMENTARY IS PROUD TO BE A LOCAL RIF PROJECT, serving children in the Bloomfield-Mespo Local Schools in Trumbull County, Ohio......Three or four free book distributions are held yearly, along with reading motivation activities......In the past 27 years our program has placed approximately 20,000 free books into the homes of our students.......We are grateful for our long standing partnership with our school PTO for their support of RIF.
