Welcome

To the Fencer's World

Welcome to the homepage of Yevgeniy Pavlovskiy

He who will come to me with foil, by foil will be beaten.

Fencing is a vigorous sport that requires and develops stamina, quick reactions, speed and accuracy of movement, and excellent coordination. Fencing is also a mental game. The real excitement of it lies in outthinking and outwitting the opponent. The objective of modern fencing is not to inflict an injury but to demonstrate an ability to outmaneuver an opponent and to score. There are three weapons in fencing today: foil, epee, and sabre.

Short history of fencing

I have been fencing foil for the Yeshiva University fencing team since 1997.

As you can see I have been making progress over the years. But none of that would have been possible without support of my friends, my teammates, my coaches and my family.

I didn't stop fencing after my graduation. I continue to improve my skills by fencing in the METROPOLIS Fencing School (45 West 21st street in Manhattan), where I have a chance to compete against best fencers in the Nation, against my former teammates, and newcomers on YU fencing team.
