"CHIEF"
BIS AUST GRAND CH
UMKIMZULU NAVAHO WARRIOR AI

22.7.98 - 22.8.04

As a youngster, Chief was nicknamed "Alf" because of his wrinkles
and the strong resemblance to the TV alien character.

He is a loveable gentle dog that loves to spend his days running about,
swimming and playing with the girls.

At 27" & 38.5k, he represents a strong well boned upstanding dog that exhibits
great showmanship and is well recognised
for his effortless ground covering gait.

Chief's greatest asset is his superb
faultless easy going, stable temperament.

Nicholas and Chief have formed a formidable team and
have won many Junior Handler competitions.

They qualified for the State Junior Handler Final in August 2001

With 2 outstanding parents "Isak" - Swd/Fnl Ch Djungelkattens Imbue Ridged Isak CV(Swd) ROM
and his famous mum "Chilli" multi BIS Grand Ch Bearstar Chilean Willow ROM certainly captured
a recipe for success from this 'frozen pupsicle' litter.

We are thrilled & delighted with his beautiful progeny
who posses the most wonderful easy going temperaments.
He already has many progeny with outstanding results in the ring & obedience...but more importantly
there are quite a few families blessed with his puppies here in Australia and Overseas.

Chief has 6 champions - 5 x Australian Champions, 1 x New Zealand Champion
and his son Kito gained his Endurance Title in June 2003.

His progeny have also excelled at Specialties, Age in Show awards,
Best Headed, Gaited, Best Footed and often make the cut for best Gaited.
He has produced some outstanding liver progeny.

His son ARI - MANZENGWENYA ARAKHAN AT GUNTHWAITE (IMP AUST)
has produced some stunning puppies in the UK over various lines
and was awarded MOST SUCCESSFUL SIRE in the UK in 2007 & 2008 a wonderful achievement.
Congratulations to the Bates family at GUNTHWAITE and BURNCOTE - UK.

AUSTRALIAN GRAND CHAMPION 2004

Amy with Chief and his favourite toy "Alf"

Tragically we lost Chief in August 2004
from a very rare condition which was sudden.
Despite all our efforts, he passed away only hours after surgery.
This very special Ridgeback has left a great whole in our hearts
and we say farewell to the most wonderful & delightful companion.
From the moment he entered our lives he was a pleasure
with his funny unusual habits and the ever constant talker.
He was my children's constant companion and the greatest dog for Junior Handler's
a natural ability to self stack along with his superb nature.
They were a formidable team with many awards.
Farewell dear Chief you touched the hearts of all that knew you,
may you find plenty of friends to run through the fields at Rainbow Bridge.
