The Magical Princess is a power handed to Cha Cha because of her heritage (she's actually a Princess) and her pure heart. Or something. Anyway, she will only come if love, courage and hope are united. Seravi first gave Cha Cha the Princess Medallion just before she started school at Urara Gakuen, and he told her that the ring and the bracelet were for two friends who would stand by her no matter what.They happened to be Riiya and Shiine. Shiine holds the power of Hope, Cha Cha Love and Riiya Courage. Lord Genus gave them all to Seravi when he escaped from Daimarou when he took over the lands, and told him what to do. Cha Cha, Riiya and Shiine use the Magical Princess to defeat all their foes, but they had to sacrifice that power to close the portal to the Netherworld and stop more evil from coming out.
I'm not that sure about the history of the Magical Princess, but I think she first appeared in Queen Joan in the wars for the lands. Queen Joan was proclaimed a Goddess for her bravery, and I think she left the Beauty Selene Jewels in the magical kingdom to combat evil. Although Cha Cha's parents and grandfather were all defeated by Daimarou, they knew only the Magical Princess could defeat him, strengthened by the legendary Paladins of Love, Courage and Hope. This explains why Daimarou wanted to kill Cha Cha before it was too late, and also because he was trapped in the castle by powerful magic, and only the defeat of Cha Cha could let him out.
The Magical Princess started out with only one weapon, the Beauty Selene Arrow. This weapon never failed to defeat her enemies until they came across Access, who contained the power of the arrow in his hand! They then obtained the Phoenix Sword, which was a lot more powerful, and then later the Band/Bird Shield. It was only until the final battle with Daimarou that Cha Cha realised her real power was her power of love (uh huh, yeah, not the sword, suuuurrree) and together with the combined powers of love, courage and hope from the Paladins (Seravi, Dorothy, Shiine, Riiya, Marin, Yakko and Orin) they defeated Daimarou, because her powers were strengthened by goodness and all that. Sure. I thought they stopped telling that lie after The Empire Strikes Back.

Cha Cha after they combine their powers. That tiny kid becomes THAT. Gee, I wonder why the guys are mad for her? Well, okay they liked her beforehand, but I'm sure this didn't hurt. This is the Magical Princess/Cha Cha about to use the Beauty Selene Arrow. This usually only requires one arrow to defeat an enemy, but as the enemies got tougher, she got the Phoenix Sword and the Band/Bird Shield.
