            A Nation Mourns



            John F. Kennedy, Jr. & Carolyn Bessette Kennedy


            On a warm summer night in the month of July,
            John, Carolyn and Lauren took to the sky.
            Flying on towards a weekend of fun,
            They had no idea of what was to come.
            Probably discussing events of the day,
            Eventually running out of things to say.

            What could have happened?
            What did go wrong?
            That ended with horror,
            And left a nation to mourn.
