Visitors Gift Pt. 2

"Liz, if word gets out about this, people will panic, people will run. The earth will not exist." Max told her.

"So, it's a bomb..."Liz asked.

"A bomb that's planted in every state." Max finished. "Oh, brother." Liz sighed.

"Exactly." Max answered.

"So, what now?" Liz asked.

"I don't know." Max looked at her.

"Neither, do I.." Liz answered.

They stared into each other's eyes, Liz searched for something to say, she couldn't come up with anything, and she knew Max couldn't.

Max leaned forward slowly.

*This can't be, we can never be, he's an alien, and I'm only human..but he's so sweet, who cares about the 'we're different' rule.* Liz leaned in to.

There heads touched and Max smiled. He liked being close to Liz. Liz felt uncomfortable, so she smiled to, which made her feel a lot better. Max carefully put his hands around her waist.

*I'm so not used to this. How can I kiss her without it being terrible?* Max wondered. *Well, if I don't know, she's going to leave. Heres to good luck.* Max thought, nervously.

Max kissed her gently, yet passionately, something he had wanted to do ever since he first saw her. Liz did not object one bit, she kissed him to, she didn't feel awkward anymore, neither did he.

"Hello? Figures you guys would be here wasting time." Isabel sighed, and shook her head. She crossed her arms.

Liz and Max stopped kissing, his arms were still around her waist, but then he moved them, and turned to face his sister.

"We did find something." Max hands Isabel the book.

Isabel flips through it. "Good, this helps out a lot, I didn't find anything at school."

"I can see you found something interesting to look up." Isabel said, looking at Max.

Max ignored Isabel. "I guess we should go home for now."

As they were ready to walk out the doors, Isabel was talking to Max.

"Max," Isabel whispered. "Your lips."

"Huh? Oh, yeah." Max wiped his lips. "Lip Gloss."

"Max, treat her right." Isabel smiled.

Max stopped and watched as Isabel walked off. He smiled.

Max sat there, wondering what to do.

"Who am I fooling, I don't have time to take care of a baby chick, and a real baby." Max sighed.

There was a knock on his door.

"That must be Liz." Max answered the door.

"Hi." Liz stood at the door.

"Hey. I need help. I can't be a parent." Max said, frustrated.

Liz laughed. "Max, it's not the end of the world, someday you'll be a parent you know, it's good practice."

"Um, I don't know Liz." Max answered.

"You don't know about what?" Liz asked.

"About being a parent someday. I've never really studied whether or not us 'northerners' can be parents." Max said.

"Oh." Liz said. She bowed her head down and walked over to the baby.

"Liz, are you upset?" Max asked.

"No, it's just that I never knew that." Liz answered.

"Liz, what are you thinking? Do you ever think that maybe you'll meet the right person for you?" Max asked.

"Always. Someone who likes you for more than your looks." Liz answered.

Liz's dream sequence...

"If anyone objects speak now or forever hold your peace."

"As usual in my thoughts, everything works out great, no one objects, these are my thoughts, so they end happy." Liz thought.

"I now pronounce you man and wife, you may now kiss the bride."

"A kiss...Something I never wanted to end, especially if it comes from Max Evans..."

~~End of Dream Sequence~~

"Liz, are you all right?" Max asked.

"Oh my gosh, Max, you didn't know what I was thinking about did you?" Liz asked, nervously.

"Well, since you were saying it out-loud, it wasn't to hard for me to hear." Max smiled. He put his hands in his pockets.

Liz blushed in total embarrassment, Max leaned in to see her face, he smiled, her cheeks were beet red.

"Max.." Liz burst out laughing.

Max laughed too. "Liz, you don't have to hide it," he turned her around. "it's nice."

"Nice that I think of you that way, or nice that you saw me blush?" Liz asked.

"It's just nice." Max answered.

"That's no real reason, but it will do." Liz smiled.

"Do you want to go for a walk?" Max asked.

"Sure." Liz answered, smiling.

Max got their coats and left.

*******

Maria wiped the tables, and stuffed her cloth into her apron.

A hand touched her shoulder, and she spun around.

"Gosh! Don't scare me like that Michael!" Maria yelled.

"I love to get a good yell out of ya." He laughed.

"Very funny. What do you want?" Maria asked.

"I'm looking for Max. He's spending to much time with Liz. She'll influence him, she may not be as sweet as he thinks she is." Michael answered.

"What Liz? Na, she's sweet as candy." Maria responded.

"Max is only sixteen, I don't want him getting hurt." Michael stated.

"I know, I know. But trust me on this Mick, Liz will not do anything bad. Okay?" Maria stated.

Michael sighed. "All right. Bye, Maria."

"Bye." Maria answered.

******

"Max, if anyone knows about raising children it would be my parents, they had four children, including me. Talk to them." Liz suggested.

"But they don't know me." Max said.

"I'll introduce you to them." Liz said.

"Okay." Max answered.

*********

"Mom, Dad?" Liz called.

Her parents came out from the kitchen.

"Hi honey! Who is this young man?" Her Mom asked.

"Oh, this is my friend, Max. Max this Irene my Mom." Liz told him.

"Hi, Mrs. Parker." Max shook her hand.

"What a gentleman, Liz, how come we haven't met your boyfriend before?" Irene asked.

"Mom, he's not my boyfriend." Liz answered.

"Oh. I'm sorry. So what did you bring him here for?" Irene asked.

"He's need info about raising babies. It's for a class." Liz answered.

"Oh, well, I can surely help. Now Max this might take awhile, but you'll know everything when I'm done talking to you. Come sit down." Irene smiled.

Irene took Max's arm and started pulling him over near the sofa.

Max looked around, her house was a little bigger than his. He sat down on the sofa.

"Now Max, I hope you know how babies come into this world." Irene said.

Max's eyes got wide. "Um, Mrs. Parker, I actually..."

"Now, nonsense, everything I know you must know." Irene cut him off.

Max tensed up. *This is humiliating, Liz is here! And I already know about this!* Max thought.

Liz shook her head, her mother was sometimes persistent. Poor Max.

**********

Michael sat down in Starlit Restaurant, he kept his eye open for anything that matched his description of the picture of the man Max had given him. Michael poured Tobasco sauce in his root beer, and took a drink. He looked around the room, there was a man sitting in the corner with spiky brown hair.

"Psss...Isabel, can you hear me?" Michael asked, he talked through the walkie-talkie.

"Yes, Do you see anything?" Isabel answered.

"Yes, A man with brown hair, red frosted tips, looks like he's hiding something. He's got an envelope, who he's delivering/giving it to I don't know, but I'll follow him. Over and out." Michael said.

The brown haired man got up and put the envelope in a satchel, and put the satchel under his arm.

Michael paid the bill, and left a tip for the waitress. He pushed open the door, and spotted the man getting into a car. Michael got in Max's Jeep, and started following the man.

********

"I'm sorry if my Mom left a bad taste in your mouth, I..." Liz sighed.

Max gulped. "She told me everything. It's scary Liz." Max said.

Liz laughed. "You are something else Max Evans."

"I am?" He asked.

"Really you are." Liz responded, smiling.

"Liz, I really like you, your sweet, kind, beautiful and perfect in every way." Max said.

"I like you to Max. Your so different from every other boy." Liz smiled.

Max kissed her on the lips, Liz didn't object. Max broke away.

"Liz...Would you like to go out for dinner sometimes, at the Starlit Restaurant?" Max asked, nervously.

"Sure. Dinner and a Movie, maybe?" Liz asked.

"Okay. Dinner and a movie it is. How about tomorrow at 7 PM?" Max asked.

"Okay. I'll be ready." Liz smiled.

"Goodnight." Max kissed her gently.

******

The car stopped abruptly. Michael slammed on his brakes. The man jumped out of his car and walked into an abandoned warehouse. Michael followed.

The man pulled out the satchel and handed it to another man, Michael ran in, and knocked the first man down, and grabbed the satchel from the second man, and ran out of the warehouse into an alley way, it was a dead-end. The man came running toward Michael, he looked very, very ticked.

"Uh-oh." Michael said.
