The history of the Ranchers' Club Philippines

Based in the University of the Philippines at Los Baños, the Ranchers' Club was founded on August 22, 1922, by Dr. Francisco Fronda. This was patterned after the Round-up Club of Cornell University. The first adviser of the Club was Dr. Valente E. Villegas. Formerly an Animal Science based organization, the Club was revived by Uly Lustria in the mid 80's. This Club evolved into a versatile aggregation of students from various colleges facing the challenges of a developing society. The Ranchers' Club is engaged in numerous activities, varying from RODEO COMPETITIONS to EXTENSION WORKS and OUTREACH PROGRAMS.
