Pukulan Mustika Kweetang

The system that I teach is not mine. It is a system that I have learned from great and skilled teachers. I have never said that this system is mine, never stating that I have created it like others have. I am only passing it on. I have modified some movements because I live in the U.S. now, not in the rice fields. The Mother Art of Pentjak Silat is still in Indonesia. I will always be a learner as long as I am in a surviving system. In other words, I have only learned and continue to learn only for survival.

I have never, ever, said that this system is the deadliest, the most brutal, or the ultimate in the world because I am not a paper tiger. The people that have trained with me or seen me in seminars are witnesses to my skill that I teach. ASK THEM!

I can see how easy it is to follow others to change or create names and titles, and then advertise commercially to the world. I don't want to become a prisoner in your own beliefs. All the credit goes to the ones before me and to my students who will bring the surviving method further into the future. Without their knowledge, I have nothing. Don't fuss about the name of this system. It is just a name. All I know is what my teachers and my elders have told me. Without their knowledge, I have nothing. Don't fuss about the CHINESE or INDONESIAN influence, or the creators. The Mother Art of Pentjak Silat is still from Indonesia.

My teacher always told me that I could only be a master of skill, not a master of men. My Martial Arts teacher has given me an education about life, the value of life, respect, and the "GERAKAN PUMBELAN DIRI BEBAS" which means "FREEDOM IN SELF-DEFENSE MOVEMENT".

Hormat,

Jim Ingram
