In these photos, we've gone up to Hakone for the day - it was bright, clear, windy, and cold - a glorious day to be in the mountains. The clearest we have ever seen Fuji-san. A Windy Day
We went up one of the smaller mountains near Fuji - this one is still thermally active. You could even get hard boiled eggs cooked in the hot sulfer steam. Yuck! |

Stuart and the Dragon
We went up to Hakone Shrine - a very cool place on Lake Ashi. Here is Stuart standing next to the Dragon (for The Year of the Dragon) to be used in the New Year's ceremonies. |
