Stuart at the Daibutsu
It's mandatory for every visitor to take a trip to Hase, Kamakura to go to the Daibutsu (Great Buddha). We made a couple of trips this year.
Lisa at the Daibutsu
As I said, we made a couple of different trips.
Big Frozen Sushi-to-be
We spent the first three days of Lisa's vacation here in Tokyo. This is a picture of Lisa and Stuart at the Tokyo Central Market in Tsukiji. Way Cool!

We took a trip up the Sukida River, crossing under 12 bridges on the way to Asakusa. Here is Lisa in the boat.

Here is Stuart in front of a pagoda up at the Sensoji Temple at Asakusa.

And here is the family standing in the road or merchant's alley on the way up to the temple.

The next day, we went to the Imperial Palace with about 13,000 of our closest friends to see the Emporer make a rare personal appearance on his 66th birthday.

And we also saw lots of neat carp at Hase Kannon Temple in Kamakura.
