The Front Cover background is striped just like Ed's guitar (only green
w/black stripes). The top of the cover has VH 1 logo with yellow
bordering. Below that is a picture of Ed 2"x3" playing the black -n-
white guitar w' the famous chain strap. Underneath that are the letters
"Last Night" in red.
The Back Cover has the same background as the front cover. Top has 4
individual pictures 1"x1" of the band (circa 1978). Below that is the
VH logo (same as VH 1) with "Last Night" in white lettering on the left
side and "In For The One" on the right side in white lettering.
Both discs are identical except for one says "Last Stand" and the other
"In For The One" They both look like 45 rpm records with a silver middle
and black (looks like record grooves) on the outside.
Sound Quality: Demos are excellent soundboard. Whiskey A Go-Go says it's
soundboard but it's a really (for the time era) clean audience recording.
Pasadena Hilton is excellent soundboard also.
The manufacturer says that these are "all soundboard" recordings but
they are not (as described below). A fine looking package. Songs 1 - 3
on the 1st disc are the same old versions that we've heard before
(cleaned up a little). Song 4 disc 1 sounds like a very good audience
recording (not soundboard). Songs 5 - 13 are the same as 77 + Live.
Songs 1 - 7 are indeed from the Whiskey and are a not soundboard but are
an excellent audience recording. This is a "tape source" and is
remarkably clean! Pasadena Hilton is the same selections and quality as
the "Eyes Of Night" cd.
This 2 cd set might not be worth the asking price and alot of it is
rehash, BUT the disc does have the Whiskey New Years Eve Show which
itself is pretty historical. If your a VH "completest" and want
something historical for your collection then pick it up.
