Is there a way to lower Cpu usage?
Use as little VSTs as possible.
Get a better computer.
do mixdowns especially for vsts
1. program that sequence (bassline, pad, etc..)
2. export that sequence then import it as a wav turn the vst off.
You can save the vst patches and patterns for reuse, you dont need to delete them just turn it off or for more cuts you can delete it wholey.
remove any extra clocks shortcuts etc... that are gui interface etc..
How to record with typing keyboard
1. go into piano roll
2. use the keys on your computers keyboard.
3. look on the left side of the piano roll and see what octave your playing..
bottom keys are the c4 white keys
middle keys are the c4 black keys
top is the c5 white and the numbers is the c5 black.
click record/play and type it will record the notes
You will not be able to see the notes pop up in real time
when you click the record button again to stop it, you will see it all in front of you and can edit it
