I was born in 1967 and have a brother who is 8 years older than myself. I would have been too young to truely experience the original "Sizzlers" racing fad if it weren't for him. Some of my oldest memories are of the entire neighborhood of kids getting together on our front lawn to race our Sizzler cars on an enormous track that we made from everyones combined track pieces. Half the fun was getting the track set up and testing it. There were at least 20 kids in our neighorhood so it was always a large gathering and alot of fun for everyone. This last Christmas we were watching our nephew open his presents and one of them was a Hot Wheels car. My brother asked me if I knew what ever happened to his old Sizzlers stuff. I had to tell him the truth which was that as the cars got old the batteries and motors stopped working so they got played with like all the other Hot Wheels cars. Most of them ended up cracked or smashed and missing wheels. Some got corroded so badly from leaving the batteries in them that the motors wouldn't turn at all. The track got turned into other things that I played with among all my other toys...and over the course of my childhood his Sizzler collection got turned to dust in the wind. We rarely played together as kids because he was so much older than me so the only thing we shared really was the afternoon Sizzler races on our front lawn...Now, getting to the end of this long story, I have decided that next year at Christmas I will give as much of my brothers old Sizzler collection back to him as I can collect over the course of the next year. It's gonna be expensive...but it's worth it...He's my big brother.

If you have any old Sizzlers cars or parts and would like to donate them to me to help restore what I can collect please contact me via my email address at the bottom of this page.

I am also interested in what people have for sale. There are certain types of cars that I really want to be present in this present. My focus is on the realistic type cars like the Mustang and Firebird but I'm also looking to collect several Ford Mark IV and Angeleno style cars and a couple of the concept cars. If you have these cars, complete and in good shape, they may be worth a reasonable sum to me. So let me know what you have by emailing me.

I'm not looking for anything that isn't intended to be run again so if you have a perfectly mint Firbird that has never been removed from it's box...I'm not interested...Something like that should be sold to a real collector who will know what to do to preserve it. You may be able to find a link to such a collector on my Info & Links page or feel free to leave a message on the forum /Messageboard.

I also know that any information I gather may be useful to others also looking to find Sizzlers cars so I'm going to set up some links, advise, and pictures.

Almost any advise may be useful to me and others who may visit this site...Please send me your comments and suggestions.
