Should i Stay?

24th July 2003 10:10pm (0410H)

I emailed and asked about withdrawing from the Norsk course. Apparently, they said that the course is actuali overbooked and there shouldnt be any problems if i chose to withdraw from the course. But they din mentioned whether i still have to pay for the course and social programme if i withdraw from them now...so i emailed them again and waiting for their reply.

Anywae, Kwang Chin confirmed will not withdraw from the course lor.. not too sure about the other 3 NUS ppl (John, Shiyan and Yvonne) whether they wanna withdraw or not. Dun tink John will withdraw cos he will taking the course as a Cross Fac Module (CFM). .Tink Shiyan dun mind withdrawing if we dun have to pay for the the fees.

Stephen and Yimin going to start their tour tom evening.. if i wanna withdraw, i have to do it tom so that i still can join them to tour or else oso no point withdrawing.. so i muz decide really soon.. sigh.. i really dunno leh.. it seems like a good experience/chance to learn norwegian leh... but i really struggling and dun have the motivation to learn lor..no incentive mah and i'm not really that interested leh.. so i should be more realistic rite?...haiii.. still abit bad to leave Kwang Chin here leh.. but seriously, when we 1st came, i already feel someday, we definitely will have different views/opinions on some stuff one lar.. its impossible for both of us to agree on everything or feel the same about everything.. for example, sometimes i feel he is too thrifty lar.. i'm not saying he is wrong lar... cos the prices are really high and i understand his concerns.. but i sometimes juz feel that 有些钱是不可以省的 lor..

Today after our Norsk lessons ended at 2pm, they arranged for buses to bring us to a Music Museum. This trip was actually quite boliao i tink.. cos they bring us there to the museum, but they dun bring us back!! We are supposed to find our own way back to our student village.. The bus ride from the school to the museum took about 20mins lor and i guess its about 5km from the school which is already a 30mins walk from our student village. After the tour, Kwang Chin was actualli tinking about walking back!! I juz feel its reali crazy lor.. but he kept saying that we have alot of time but we do not have alot of money...so we should use our time to walk and save some money...

In the end, John, shyan, yvonne and me all agreed that we shld juz take a bus.. cos its really too far and we aren't even sure what route to take to walk back.. cant u imagine if we kenna "holland-ed"?? i alreadi veri suay liao...dun feel like trying my luck.. so we each spent abt S$6 to take a bus back to the town centre and den change to another bus to bring us up to the student village. One good thing abt the bus service is that u can ask for a transfer ticket which enables you to transfer to another bus (any bus) for free, within an hour from the time u board the 1st bus..

Today was quite an interesting day.. i happened to get the chance to tok to quite alot of foreigners. I spoke to an Austrian (Bernhard) , a Portuguese (Joana) , a Belgian (Steven) ,two Germans (Alexander and fren) and a Dutch gal named "Floor". Weird name..=P Anywae, its really quite interesting to meet these ppl lar... although it may be a bit challenging to communicate with them effectively cos i tink Singaporeans (especially me) tends to speak too fast and we are more "Americanised" and may have an American slang.. the Europeans usually have difficulties in understanding us... but its still quite fun.. especially when toking to cute/pretty gals.. btw, Floor was quite cute... =P

Actually i have taken quite a number of photos liao but haven really tink of a way to put them on the website.. cos the webspace is limited at 20megs.. was tinking i can try to upload them over the weekend... but if i withdraw from the course, and go join Stephen and Yimin.. i wun be able to post anymore updates for probably a week or so... hmm... see how lar...
