Wow, I almost forgot about the site! Things have been crazy lately. Dan and I are both acting in the DCHS musical, which will this year be "Into the Woods," so we've been real busy with practices. And my other band, Consolation Prize, has been gearing up for gigging! We've already played an awesome show with some awesome bands (Scheflo, MSC, Against the Rest, Self Control and Starter Kit), and have another one coming up on March 12 (with Fat Sally, All Dreams Fail, Musket Arm and STD Grab Bag). Hope to see a bunch of people come out for some fun times! We're also writing new songs all the time, and are planning to record an acoustic EP to sell at shows, hopefully within a matter of weeks. The EP should be around $2 for 4 songs (one of which is all mine, lyrics and everything!), and I'm real excited about it. And, for anyone who hasn't picked it up, I have to reccomend the new James Taylor album, "October Road"--the whole thing is incredible, and shows why JT is one of the best songer/songwriters ever. Anyway, that's all I got, so until next time...

In just a few short hours, Dan and I will (hopefully) be finishing up the recording process for Acoustic Abuse's "Plugged in All the Wrong Places" EP! For more information, check out AA's website. Also, I'm in the process of writing lyrics for a new song, believe it or not. The working title is "Letters," and so far I've got one verse and an awesome chorus. Hopefully I'll be able to wrap that up before too long!

Well, it's Xmas Eve Day. And I'm bored. So I'm updating the site. Yep, here I am, updating away. I've been working on some more songs (again, still no lyrics coming, but what are you gonna do?), and they're really cool, hopefully I can finish them up before too long. Hope everything's going well for everybody, I'll see you at the D-CHS Talent Show, January 15th!

Yeah, long time since the last update, I know. So here's what's going on: everything imaginable. Ok, number 1, balancing four honors classes with after school choir, play practices (Who Dunit...And To Whom) and movie filming sessions (The Band Room by Nicole Brase). Number 2, writing songs. Lots of songs. Not so many lyrics, but lots of songs. And number 3, always finding new music to influence me. I just found this amazing band, Treephort. They call themselves Nerd-Core, and write amazingly angry punk songs about someone stealing your graphing calculator. And I've also recently discovered the genius of Les Claypool and, more importantly, Frank Zappa. If you don't know Frank Zappa's music, I reccommend going out and buying literally any piece of music he has ever put out, and be blown away by it.

Finals are finally over! That means...well, it means I get to start all over again with a new quarter. So probably not much more recording progress. I did make some more progress on a new song though, right now titled "Bleeding Kansas," something I've been working on for awhile but just never went anywhere. Still have to lay down vocals for "Too Late for Tomorrow," then I hope to have an mp3 on the site. Until later...

Wow, so I just put some Zakk Wylde GHS Boomers strings on my Stratocaster, and it's amazing. The high strings are super thin for leads, and the low strings are real heavy for pounding away. Really cool.

Just wanted to throw in an update about the new Acoustic Abuse stuff...it's pretty amazing. We're going into the studio this weekend to lay down, if nothing else, a bunch of instrumental tracks. Possibly get some foundation tracks for the new reworked version of "Mouseballs," probably throw down "Save the Queen (Godzilla)" before we forget how it goes, and almost definately record our new song, "Soap Opera Life." It's good stuff people, good stuff.

Aah....I love performances....Come out to the D-CHS choir talent show (date will be posted later), see me perform "Too Late for Tomorrow" and see Dan play "True to the Heart." Both are original songs, and a rollicking good time should be had by all.

Ok, I'm going to talk about my new electric guitar now. It's a brand-new cherry red Fender Stratocaster Delux. It's got a Floyd Rose tremelo bridge, the nicest action I've ever seen, and you can pull sounds out of this thing I've never heard. And the noiseless/humbucker pickups means no humming you usually get with Strats. I love it. Also, Dan's going to buy my old Samick, so look for some new electrified stuff from Dan.
