 Carpets: Find out if your landlord changes the carpet at no cost when you move. then you are free to do what you want with your floor. you probably don't have wood floors under that tan carpet. so do an inlay. buy some cheap pieces of carpet. all colors all sizes. to do an inlay, cut shapes out of your carpet and cut the same shape out of the pieces you bought. lay the piece in your carpet where you cut out the shape, throw a few staples in and your set! Walls: Can you paint? A lot of places you can't. So what can you do? Not much. Put really interesting pieces of art on your walls, do draw away from the white walls. bright furniture and accessories will also take away. Lighting: When your stuck with white walls and tan carpet, never underestimate the lighting. disco balls and christmas lights will defiantly take away from whatever problem area you have. use if for back up lighting or "mood" lighting. |
