I wrote The Wonderland when I was still with Emma, the girl it was written about. When I sing "I think I could kill you....." that was pretty much the truth at the time. It was a love, love, hate, hate relationship that we all seem to have at a certain age. It wasn't the best of relationships but it could have been. It was the first song I brought to the table & sang with The WAAs & we always had a good time playing it (apart from Eggy who tended to sweat bath fulls when we played it!). It's an angry sort of sound that was what I was about at the time. I also wrote Lost A Little Time about her that you can find on that page. It shows the effect she had on me but I couldn't have wished for a better muse.

You're keeping me guessing, don't you lie
(Don't you lie)
Don't give me your blessing, do or die
(Do or Die)
I think I could kill you, are you mine
(Are you mine?)
I feel like a fool, just like my kind
(Like my kind)
I think I'm moving much to fast
Got enough to make it last
I keep on searching for The Wonderland
Cos I've lost more than I could have ever have found
Sweet baby Yeah
The stars keep shining, shine on down
(Shine on down)
I'm never smiling when you are around
(You're around)
I think I'm moving much to fast
Got enough to make it last
I keep on searching for The Wonderland
Cos I've lost more that I have ever found
Sweet baby Yeah
