Lost A Little Time
I wrote Lost A Little Time in the summer of 03. It was a time when I was looking back at things that have happened in my life while at the same time living in the present. It's obviously about an ex of mine but it's the realisation that I'm wasting time still thinking about her. It's just about being alone in a big world & not knowing which way to turn. As it worked out, I did ok & this is one of my favourite songs that I've ever done. When I was recording it, I knew the sound I wanted. I wanted the cellos on from the beginning & I think the score I wrote fills the background in. I mixed 3 versions of the song. One with strings, one without & one with strings but without drums (all are available if you ask nicely). Listen out for the arabian strings in the middle.
