Ed's Photo Album

Edmundo P. Garcia

Ed, Eddie, or "Akong" as often called by the barkada, hails from Baguio City with family roots from Baliwag, Bulacan.  He moved to Provident Village late 1974 when he was about to go to college at the University of the Philippines in Diliman.  At that time, Ed was introduced to the Spirit Barkada through his older brother's barkada that was known as "The group of 12".

The Spirit Barkada was chiefly a basketball team.  But, even though Ed does not play basketball at all, he was much accepted as part of the barkada.  After all, the Spirit Barkada is a well rounded group of people with varied interests and with some taking hobbies like photography, electronics, cars, hunting, biking, baking, etc that Ed blended well and did not have to get bored with just basketball.

After college (1981), Ed left Provident and lived in the Las Pinas area.  He pursued his career as a computer analyst, had various jobs and positions with Makati-based companies.   He married Chacha in 1985, had a daughter (Jeanine) in 1989.  A few years later on in 1994, he landed a job as an expat computer consultant and stayed mostly abroad until 1999.  He is now back in Provident Village and runs a Small Office Home Office (SOHO) dealing with web applications development.
