Arleen R. Igliane Hi! My real name is Arleen R. Igliane. My friends call me ARNIE ! I am the brother of Al and August. We came from Tondo and decided to transfer here in 257 Riverside Drive Provident Village, Marikina City, back in September of 1972 before the Martial Law days. In fact, Ramon de Jesus was the first friend I met in Provident. After that, I met the guys from Holy Family. And then, Spirit Barkadas was formed, where I played with Erwin, George and Tito. They live just few houses away. I spent my primary years in Holy Child Catholic School in Tondo. High school days in Ortanez University in Cubao, Quezon City. And, I took up Electronic Technical Course in Asian Institute of Electronics (AIE). I started working as a Technician in Pacific Office Machine together with Farley. And then decided to stop working to continue my college studies at University of the East taking up Electrical Engineering. I am a working student at that time. Employed as Electrician with APO Production Unit, a Government Printing Press. I dropped college because of the tempting offer with me to work in Saudi Arabia as Overseas Filipino Worker. Working in Saudi at that time is a lucrative profession. Started working in February 1984 in a Milk Factories in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Southern Dairy Co. Ltd. for two (2) years and Almarai Ltd. for eight (8) years. The company is just like Magnolia here in the Phils. Started as Electrical Technician and promoted as Engineering Department Supervisor. Until, I was promoted as Mechanical and Electrical Department Head. I had a chance to have a special training in Lund, Sweden for two (2) times for the different types of Dairy Equipment (Tetra Pak Packaging Machines AB3 & TBA9 Tetra Brik). I also visited other places such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Dubai, Bahrain, UAE, England, Turkey, Frankfurt, Germany and Denmark. Got married April 07, 1990 to Arlene. Did you noticed that we have the same name? It’s a co-incident! We settled down at 38 Bismarck Street, Provident Village. Decided to end my working contract in Saudi Arabia last February 1994. Blessed with only one daughter, Arianne Clarise. Now, I manage a small business, IGLIANE’S PARTY SHOP located inside the Village. We deal with rentals of chairs and tables, balloons and other party needs. We also had a tie-up with Catering Services and Party Clowns. I also had a Transport Shuttle Service from Marikina to Makati every morning.
