Yesterday the last furniture hauling to my Lake Valley site completed the setup of my new offices. The site is now fully functional. It includes both offices and labs.

See me exhausted at my desk after a hard working and very busy day.

Today Steve Jobs is celebrating his 55th birthday. As a kind of birthday present a friend of mine sent me something great to reveal. Even it's in Swedish with English subtitles take yourself 2 minutes and watch this movie:

Later on this evening I will view the movie “The Marsdreamers” and meet Edgar Mitchell who was the 6th man on the moon.

A special day for me in many aspects (past, present, future).

After a full day preview last summer, a hands-on-lab using beta 2 software in January and another full day with Microsoft today, I finally decided for the tools to build the next line of applications. Here they are: VS2010, SL4, .NET4, Expression Blend, WCF RIA services, ADO.NET Entity Framework and SQL Server.

Today (01-27-2010) Apple launched their latest product, the tablet alike PC named iPad (fka iSlate). In a Hollywood like launch press conference at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA) in San Francisco, CA Steve made one of his best performances ever. But somehow he got back 23 years during his keynote speach...

Today was the kick off for the next line of applications. Due to a NDA I can't tell much more for now. Please be patient. www.cowo.ch will be the place to track the progress once we go public.

P.S. It’s exactly a year since I unleashed the “QL is 25” bash.

Almost exactly a year after the infamous QL computer Sir Clive Sinclair launched the C5 vehicle on January 10th 1985. Britains ITV reported on the event in their NEWS at TEN.

Logbook:
- Pike season opening 2009.
- All my fishing colleagues go for it every year (they’re on the lake at 6am).
- I missed the day at least for a decade.
- I started late today (9:30am).
- At 11am I was planning to go home to cook for the kids.
- Last try on 10:56am, strike!
- Landed 11:01am.
- Pike (a Lady), 98cm, 6kg.
- Released 11:05am (needed some more minutes before she swam away).

Summary:
- It was the record pike of the day (as far as I know).
- It’s my second biggest pike, missing my record of 1987 by 2cm.
