Memoirs of an Evening

Recollections of the moments, those of which will not diminish,
Phasing in my head of happenings, and leaving me here to wish,
In the vacant observation through my eyes and into yours,
Hands to face and eyes to eyes, rousing through the colors,
Meeting in embrace, and trembling lips unite,
Focused on your face, in the shadowed light,
Counted minutes pass away and in each I fall in love,
Thought in the blackened night, drifting higher above,
I suspect the static of my random channeling for this,
And lost memoirs of the night, for the privileged bliss,
Words long since forgotten, our eyes say all,
In the complications, each dimmed trivial,
The complexion of my disposition, a faded venue,
In my uneasy yet timid framework, discovering you,
When tears replace blinks, and longing to need,
Never to have been hurt, yet inside as to bleed,
Filtering my madness to ease the troubled soul,
Acquitted be you, for my loving heart you stole,
To sink into this moment, to level off each breath,
The cadence of my actions, in silence such as death,
Yet living more in one evening, than ever in a life.
