It is with heavy hearts that the Beier family mourn the unexpected passing of their only son and brother, Ivan Beier, at his home in Biggar, Saskatchewan. He was 43 years old.

He will be sadly missed by his family - parents Frank and Shirley Beier, sisters Lana (John Sheppard), Veronica, Wanda (George Jones), and Wendy (Darren Berar), beloved nieces and nephews: Rebecca, Zachery, Elizabeth, Laura, and David, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family wishes to extend their thanks to staff of the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, and special thanks to friends in the Biggar community for their support of Ivan during his convelescence from a recent work-related injury. Cremation took place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Saskatoon on Monday January 27th, 2003.

Ivan was always ready with a helping hand and a ready smile for everyone. He enjoyed the company of friends and family, but his favourite refrain was, "Gone fishing!"
