So Lynn brought up a good point today.. I have switched sites and forgot to post it on here. So, I am joined the so-called Darkside and damn proud of it. Click here to give'r. Please leave a comment when you go there... that would be fabulous. So I won't bother updating this one anymore, it's not like anyone reads it, or that I archive, cause I really don't... GO!

Monday, February 9th, 2004

Well I certainly love leaving comments on blogs now! Damn it's fun, especially since I have to be often at a computer editing my photos all the damn time, designing my pro-web page portfolio right now... I like this and all but I would also like to nap more often. I feel like I am neglecting my bed, poor thing. Anyways, today we had our business class that is normally 3 hours for only an hour and a half! Yes! Plus we had a guest speaker, who happened to be my favourite teacher Scott! He's not my teacher anymore, he was my writing teacher... we are done those classes. I am currently eating Kettle Corn. Mmmm. Anyone ever had it? I'll second that Mmmm. I was in Toronto over the weekend! To summarize, we had fun, I bought three cool shirts, we toured, we got lost, we stayed at McKellars house, we went to a bar called Madison Ave, went to Scarborough the next day so I could shoot portraits of Mista Mo from Buzz, we got lost trying to find him, we found him, I shot the portarits and he was super cool, we went to Erin's parents for about half an hour, (they are Leafs fans... ALL of them! Ah!) and then we came home. I am currently wearing the Mr T shirt I bought... tomorrow will be Koolaid shirt day, followed by Elvis Day. Hey, I inspired Lynn's friend Joel to write a crazy post on his site, huzzah! Lynn, I really like posting those messages. Fin!

Since Lynn got a new site, I decided it would be appropriate to update. Let's start with observations... right now, I hear screaming in the hallway outside my apartment, I heard a siren outside a few minutes ago, and today was such a fantastic day. No, nothing noteworthy happened- though I did buy a toque and 2 patches. I mean the weather. Let me tell you about a good feeling. So mom arrived here yesterday (with Kira) and we made collages for my granparents 50th anniversary coming up, on Photoshop. It got late so mom stayed overnight here. We got up today and she took me to my 15 minute meeting at 10am. Good times. Then we went to Staples, Starbucks, home for awhile, played with the dog. Yay. Mom dropped me at school and I said goodbye, see her in like a few weeks or something. Anyways, so at this point it was very lovely outside! Then I went to class. :| We learned about music in the 50s! :) Then it went overtime. :| Then Erin picked me up from school! :) We went downtown to Atomic and we just walked downtown and it was the best feeling ever... I just wore a fleece jacket (a.k.a NOT a bulky winter jacket) and it was perfect. So we went to Atomic, best store ever, better than Toronto stores! Talked to the guy. We left. Went to the grocery store, still thinking about the wonderful weather... a guy sat outside of the store with his violin, wearing a banadana, playing some cool music, and a smile on his face the whole time. We went into the store, bought some stuff, came out, I gave the guy some money... He kinda reminded me of Willie Nelson. I love Willie Nelson. Anyways, then back here, and I just can't help but be in a fabulous mood because of the weather. I have basically been floating all day long. :) Tomorrow, off to Toronto. Don't know how I'm getting there or where I am staying... another adventure by Katie. I'll be going home for reading week on February 19th if anyone wants to know. Let me know who's available. Lynn... Heart and Crowne? Hmmm? Longest post ever.

Tuesday, January 27th, 2004

WELL! I realized that I haven't updated in eighty years! AH! So, what has happened since I updated last? Well lots, but I can't remember. That jazz bar thing never happened, I mentioned it in my last post. We went to Picton... no such bar. I've already gotten my OSAP and used some of it, I bought a new camera battery! That was cool. $150. Big news of the moment! From the show Buzz on Comedy Network, I am totally doing a photoshoot with Mista Mo! Isn't that cool? YES! It's for my celebrity portrait that I need to hand in at the end of the year... which is in like 2 months. Ah! What else. I am going home this weekend, and it's funny cause Lynn is going to Waterloo so it's too bad that I won't get to see her (unless I pass her at the train station!) but she'll have a lot of fun and I have a lot of work to do anyways, so it's not like I'll be sitting around doing nothing. Besides, I have my family! Plus photos to shoot at Carp Pizza for a project. Oi! So I am having fun, though things are crazy busy. I am shooting the Belleville Bulls hockey game with my staff class tomorrow! That will be super cool too! Then I catch the train on Thursday afternoon! Jack's on Friday, O'Connors on Saturday! I also wrote to the Ottawa Senators hoping to get some photos of Alfredson, that would be super cool! So anyways, that's my update... I can't believe I graduate in 2 months... :( Oi. Good times.

Thursday, January 8th, 2004

Song of right now.. Jump On It by the Sugar Hill Gang. Going to a jazz bar tonight in Picton! Yah! Happy times. OSAP meeting tomorrow.. not so happy. And that's a wrap!

Monday, January 5th, 2004... I just noticed what I did on the first, it's 2003 according to me still.

So I will soon be posting a couple New Years photos, Lynn put one of the funniest ones from that night... Matt and Mark, a classic. I am back in Belleville now, Harrison, Kyle and Erin and I are living here, today we all totally slept in. I got up at 1pm, everyone else around 3:30pm. Haha... go us, productive photojournalists... and one business administration girl. Yah! We then went out and met up with Danica and Sabrina at Starbucks (yay*) and then to Price Chopper for food, now Harrison is cooking. Also yay. I hope everyone's new work terms, semesters, and year is/are going well. So far so good here. We shall see eh? Erin and I also went to the dollar store tonight, bought a couple bowls, a Chef's knife, tongs, and a few other things we didn't have. Good times. I haven't eaten at all today so dinner will be sweet. On that note... I should go see if help is needed...

Thursday, January 1st, 2003

So Happy New Year... Last night was great! I went to J's place with Emily and Lynn and the rest of Emily's band was there, plus some of their friends... then Nials, Mark, Matt, Cory, Warren, Maki, and some others who I haven't seen in awhile showed up so that made me happy. I took a lot of pictures. Teehee. Nials was very very drunk by the end of the night, indeed. Someone took Maki's shoes, someone who had shoes just like his, because there was a pair left behind that looked just like them but slightly smaller. I got some really fun photos, which is what I was going for. One girl seemed really into taking a lot of photos of me and I have no idea who she is. She also said she wanted me to do something sexy, I don't know, Mark came along and I was like "Hi! MARK!" and went upstairs with him. (We were in the basement.) Good times, good times. I got a sweet picture of Lynn trying hummus and the look on her face is priceless, just like "Hmmmm... mhm hmm... Interesting". Yay photos. Now I am tired of typing and I wanna go play with the new puppy... OH YAH! We got a new puppy on Sunday! Haha, she's a miniature schnauzer, same as Jodie was, but currently bite sized compared to almost any other dog. Her name is Kira and she's a real sweetie... likes to bite my hair though, dammit. She loves people, loves being held, loves playing outside and knows the concept of going outside rather than taking a leak on the floor. That's my girl... She is about 4.5 pounds right now, and Greg's dog Pebbles is at 24 pounds... Yay dogs.

Friday, December 20th, 2003

OHH MAN... So Wednesday I went to Yuk Yuk's, Chapman, Downey and Hillier were awesome! Reimer was there! Then Thursday I went to the hockey game with Lynn... Ottawa against Chicago Black Hawks... Ottawa won 6-1! Then we got free Sens toques! Tonight we went to O'Connors, good times! Haha, Sarah got sick... she's so cute when she's embarrassed because she puked. Awww... :) Anyways, cowboy Wayne was back... *sigh* hit on all of us, and according to him, Julie, Lynn and I look like sisters. Uh huh. Back off cowboy. My parents randomly showed up right as we were about to call them... Good timing! I am tired... now I want to sleep. We get our puppy a week from Sunday! Yes we do!

Friday morning, December 12th, 2003

Well I got home late tonight... Well technically Thursday night, it's now Friday morning, 2am... Anyways. The drive home was good, good to be here though I've done nothing. I had a snack since I never ate dinner and then hung out. Mom and Dad went to bed right after I got here... Mom and visited Chris on the way home, that was cool. Cindy's gone now... We get our new puppy in just a few weeks. :) Lynn is getting sick and that is bad news bears. Maybe I won't leave my house for the entire time I am here... I'm sure that'll work out, it wouldn't be a complete waste or anything... :| Jack's, here I come soon... Though I do miss our special spot at Starbucks already, friends.

Wednesday night...

Excellent night! The pot luck went well, I had a good time! Then we went to Shannon and Kyle's for drinks, ect... everyone was dancing! I've never been to a party where people danced... It was weird actually... haha. Anyways, Kyle and I got a little anti-social and watched the Simpsons in his room for a bit- The Mr X episode- until Danica and Chris showed up and we drank more. Then Chris broke a chair... He was just sitting there and then BAM! It had collapsed under him! Apparently it had broke before so he was just unlucky.. STILL funny as hell. Oh man. Kaz was all over the place, and Karen and Grace were up on chairs dancing away... I yelled at Bethea for changing a song when everyone was obviously enjoying it. Ummm... My scarf got draped in gross coffee water and overall, it was a good night!

Wednesday, December 10th, 2003

Not much is going on, but Lynn... I will give you that image CD of LVH when I get home... I am sorry man, I know I took 80 years but I was never able to get to the post office and I am sorry for it. Anyways, home tomorrow... pot luck tonight at Kristay's and Ian decided he isn't gonna come (he lives there...) because he is gonna go shoot the Bulls game instead... Uh huh.

Tuesday, December 9th, 2003

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRIS (URSULA)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hooray hooray, it's your birthday and when I come home I am going to sneak up on you and give you the biggest hug ever and you won't see it coming so you will be be able to run away. So I have one day of schoolio left. Yesterday I had my Photoshop exam... I passed I believe so that is all that matters. I don't think I am going to have the greatest mark in that class though, I screwed up some easy projects that are worth a lot... I mean, it happened when my disks became corrupted and so I had a severe lack of images for that class... But what can you do. What else... I am tired! My writing teacher told me I should freelance an article I wrote to my hometown paper, and another one that I wrote to the Picton newspaper... But I am not going to. Not enough time, and the one that he wants me to bring home isn't my best work, and though I like the other one I wrote I would only have one day to contact the paper, create an invoice and get the article to them. Maybe another time. Let's see... Oh! Danica and I totally toilet papered Harrison's car about a week ago, then post-it noted his car last night, and he figured out it was us with the notes but we had to tell him we did the toilet papering too... Haha. He thought it was funny as hell. I gave those two their Christmas presents- I made little disco ball people... Danica got a disco ball Orlando Bloom, Harrison got a disco ball Ghandi from Clone High. They loved that so that makes me happy. Harrison made me a mix! I am listening to it now... I am waiting for Basement Track and American Girls, my two favourite tracks, to play... not there yet! Soon. And that's all for now... See the home town people around Thursday or so, that is when I come home. Bwak!

    Thursday, December 5th, 2003

WELL... today was a big day. For my writing class, we have been assigned to write a participant observational article on something we've never done before... Some people tried boxing for the first time, Danica didn't eat for a day to see what it's like not being able to eat... I decided on Polar Dipping. Uh huh. So today, Danica drove her and I out to the Sandbanks, and I got ready to swim... So I wore boxers and a tank top in the water. So I ran around the beach right before to try and pump myself up for the cold water... May I add that all the non-moving water bodies were frozen over. So I ran into the water, got right in up to my neck... and ran back out. Oh, the extreme pain... I ran out of the water and my whole body (especially my feet) just.... HURT. The shells on the beach were injuring me more than I realized, by the way. So I ran out and grabbed a blanket on the beach and practically collapsed onto the sand, a shivering mess. My feet were completely knumb, I just could not feel them at all. Such pain! I've always wanted to try polar dipping... now let's never do it again. So Danica took photos of the whole process, they are damn funny. Me standing on the beach in my winter jacket and all, then slowly de-layering until I was in my boxers and tank top... already shivering. Ah, and when my breathing became painful, that was something alright. So we went to Tim Hortons to have bagels and hot chocolate in Picton to warm up. Now that I am no longer hurting, it was funny as hell. It sure wasn't that funny at the time though... People do this all the time for fun! Then we went on a mission tonight, an adventure if you will, and TOTALLY succeeded. Tomorrow Danica and I will be shooting the basketball game at Loyalist. Good times! My feet still really really hurt...

Thursday, November 27th, 2003

Well I went to Copperfield's for a bit tonight, and I was supposed to sing Kareoke but my back hurt pretty badly so I didn't stay long, I just came home when Mark (I think that's his name!) was leaving, he gave me a ride. Good times though. Then earlier, Danica and I went to the school for HOURS and scanned negatives from Peru for an assignment for editing class.. Whoohoo. Then we went to Starbucks and I had my Chai and she had some latte or something. Whatever. Then Sheila and Susan showed up there and they talked about girly stuff and I just laughed. Tomorrow morning, Matt gets here. Yay! I am tired. I got Adobe Photoshop 7.0. YES! That's all she wrote.

Sunday, November 23rd, 2003

Good times! Greg has been here since Friday, and we're having a good time. Friday night, after I shot the Santa Clause Parade, I walked from downtown to the train station. From there, Greg and I walked to my apartment on the other side of town, from there to Kyle's house for Shannon's party, then back home again. It was a LOT of walking! Then yesterday, we got up around noon, hung out and hopped on the bus downtown and checked out the stores there- not a whole lot, but what's there is cool. We went to a few used CD/Tape/Records/ect stores, then to Atomic where Greg bought a cute little water bong. I love that store, it's like a mini version of Rock Junction, but with a lot more t-shirts of different stuff, not just bands. It's COOOOL! Then we walked back and stopped for dinner at Pizza Hut. We came back here, and while Greg was showering I was at my computer, and I hear my front door open and someone walks in... I'm like "What the funk?!" and it was just P-Core. So we hung out, had some beers, watched Dogma, and headed to MJs. Greg said he really enjoyed it there, which is good! LOTS of people there, out of towners and the college kids. Some art guy was confusing P-Core like crazy, we had no idea what was going on. "What's your favourite pencil?" he says. "I don't know, I am not the artist, you are!" she says. "Well what do you think MY favourite pencil is?" he says. "Oh my god, I don't care! I don't know what you are talking about anymore!" she says. He continues, even though his buddies are going "Hey man, give it up". He didn't. We didn't know what was going on. We finally left. The end. Then we came home and P-Core left her car and cabbed it home. Today, Greg and I are going to the mall and Reid's Dairy, and he wants to try to change his train ticket from early tomorrow to later tonight instead, and I don't blame him. I won't BE here tomorrow morning. So that would mean I could say goodbye and he could have tomorrow to rest. Go logic! So I have to call about that. And that's the end for now. Oh, Lynn, I tooootally agree about the Michael Jackson thing... I cannot stand the coverage about something that REALLY doesn't affect the rest of the world, there isn't proof that he is or isn't guilty, and I say the media should find something else to dwell on... I AM part of the media, and I can't stand it. Rant ended.

Friday, November 21st, 2003

I am hungover. It's been awhile since I've had one of those. Danica came over last night... I blame her. Haha. I had peach scnapps, she had Rev. Then at the bar, rye and cokes, followed by Tequila again... Dag, yo. Oh well, I was a real dance machine and now my legs hurt soo badly. Ontario Hydro called me at 11am, wrong number. Then Harrison called and we went out to Starbucks later on, and Kyle came by too. Yay. I want to nap. Gotta shoot Santa Clause parade, then meet up with Greg at the station. I just wish I could skip the parade, I am tired. Yay Greg! That's enough...

¡Yah! (Everything said here is not really worth translating... I am working on an assignment where I have a few pages of Spanish to translate to english, so I am in spanish mode... If you really wanna know what I said there, just ask)

Tuesday, November 18th, 2003

Well, first of all, congratulations to Lynn on her driving test! Good to get it finally done, I bet. Secondly, good times at the mall yesterday Julie! Oh man... We rocked out at Toys 'R' Us, and Stitches... Stitches had a sale on where if you buy one item, the second item of equal or lesser value is $1.00! I have two new shirts and a zip up hoodie. Then she bought a toque and I almost did... then we went to Reid's Dairy and hung outside the building... then realized we were standing in the drive through when a car pulled up and gave us funny looks. Good for us. It was a funny evening. Before the mall trip, the PhotoJs had advisory committee day... Weee! It's twice a year, and we had all sorts of photojournalists from newspapers, magazines, or that were freelancers come in and listen to any problems we had with the program, and then they reviewed our portfolios. I got some great feedback, plus some possible connections... Hmmm! So we'll see! It went well overall. I am shooting food this week for my studio assignment... huzzah. Greg comes on Friday! Go team. That's all for now... Can't wait till Christmas. :) Home, friends, family, sleep... ahhh.

Saturday, November... ummm... 2003

Well, I am at school right now, working on my portfolio eh. Good times, good times. Last night a bunch of us went to the Winchester Arms with some teachers and our guest speaker from the New York Post. Huzzah. He remembered my name at the end of the night, so that was cool cause we need to make connections with these people. Terri is visiting today until tomorrow... it's funny, when your roommate "visits". She moves back with me at the end of the month anyways. So I cleaned up the place, because it's always a little messier when you are by yourself. Oh, and our ant problem has really lessened (is that a word?) over the past few days. I reallized that they had TOTALLY infested an open box of garbage bags, so I looked closer and realized those bigger ants, the "servant" ants were in there and they tend to stay close to the queen ant. So I threw the whole box out, bought some ant killer and sprayed the whole area under the sink that they've taken over... I've seen 2 ants in the past few days now. They weren't that big of a deal before, but not having them would totally rock eh. Gregor is coming up next weekend, it's gonna be a tight day- I've gotta shoot the Santa Clause Parade at 6:30pm and meet Greg at 8pm at the station! I may beg someone with a car (Derek... ahem) to come with me to the parade, drive me to the station and then pick up Greg, and drive us home... Hooray. That's the plan. Stan. The Man. In a Can. Damn. That's enough of that. Cole and I are going wordless Christmas carolling soon.. Hooray. Hey Lynn, that sounds really cool about the new car- does this mean the headlights will have lowlights? I will get that CD to you soon, seriously! I may send it with Greg when he comes here next weekend, I know that's kind of a long wait but he could give it to mom, and she to you, then there'd be a way less chance of it getting wrecked in the mail. Let me know eh. Good times, good times. I bought noodles the other night to make, and I made them... and MAN did they suck. I shall try a different sort of noodle. Annnnnnd... That's enough for today. Catch you on the flip flop.

Thursday, November 6th, 2003

Well, so what is new... On Halloween I went to a party just off of Eagleson with Lynn and Emily. Lynn was Sheriff Peeler, and Emily was Gem... Then there was Captain Ram... Ah memories. I got to see the McHales, Cory and Maki while I was there and I haven't seen them since my birthday... except Matt who I don't even remember since he didn't come to my birthday. Meh! So what else... I am going to Kingston for a short time this weekend to shoot my fashion assignment, and Kyle Maki is my model! Yay! Terri is in Carleton Place for her placement so it's me on my lonesome... Crazy week, I am really tired now... Derek wants me to go to MJs tonight but I am totally not feeling up to that. Oh! Greg said he is coming to see me next weekend! I hope he does, I miss him, and Chris. I talked to Chris for like, an hour on the phone last night so that was cool. Christmas break will be fun, getting to see everyone and have some good times- Lynn, Sean, Emily, Clayton, ect... Hooray! Clayton, you are to have a party. Do it. Let's see, what else... Oh yah, Matt is gonna come down from Stratford to visit good old Bellevegas- it's been awhile eh, Cha Chi? Yah it has! You know who annoys me? The chick on that Regis show... Not Kathy Lee, she's gone- the new one. I just want to duct tape her mouth and make her stop... instead, I change the channel. Anyways, good times. More to come at a later time... One more thing- Dad is coming to visit tonight, he's gonna stop by for a bit on his way back from Toronto so that'll be cool seeing him. Whoohooo... And, goodnight.

Friday, October 24th, 2003

I used to update this all the time, now I find I lack the time to do it. Oh well, I get to it eventually. So what's new... Special Projects week is done now, it's due tomorrow. I'm not going to bed tonight. No point. I'll sleep tomorrow instead. Well, that is today actually.. Ahh! Cole is at school, I am talking to him on MSN, so we're all nighter buddies tonight. I cleaned the apartment tonight... a few hours later after I had company it was messy again. I'll fix that in a few hours when I am not in a daze anyways. Ummmmm... Yes. Kristay and I raced Bfunk to the photo area, taking different ways to see who was fastest... Damn Bfunk cheated and took off before the race started, so of course she won... then we were tired. Cole's quote... "yo.. whats' with all the vibes.. vibey??.. maybe you should take your vibes and vibe someone who doesnt want to be vibed like a mofo... word, now get out of my sight.. vibey.. " You rock Colester! And now... chill.

Wednesday, October 15th, 2003

Happy Birthday Deb!!! A bunch of us are going to Little Texas tonight to celebrate Deb FINALLY being legal. Huzzah! Let's see, what else... AC/DC cover band tomorrow night at the Shark Tank, and then Carleton Place on Friday for a few hours before heading home-style. Sean bought Family Guy DVDs so we are sooooo watching that. I like cartoons! Lynn is no longer updating her website, but I think I will continue to update mine once in awhile out of boredom. Go team! Last night, the photo editor of the Edmonton Journal bought us all drinks at The Winchester Arms... Whoohoo! Thanksgiving was awesome... 3 times to Jack Astors... hahaha. Ouch. I stayed at Gregor's place on Sunday night, damn that sun in the morning. Dad drove me back to Belleville on Monday... then he dropped in without notice tonight! Surprise! Good thing I wasn't doing anything bad eh... haha. ahem. Anyways, he brought me Cinabon... Tasty, but I have tooo much food as it is! Haha... Anyways, shower time! Dig it.

Wednesday, October 8th, 2003

So... I come home tomorrow for a few days, whoohoo! So I am looking forward to coming back and getting free food for a few days. Turkey! Plus seeing some of the folks who are off in Halifax and will be home for a few days. Sounds like a plan. Yesterday was Derek's birthday, so he decided that he wanted us all to go to Kelsey's for dinner, then to the Cabaret. Whoohoo Belleville Rippers. Some of my friends ended up on the stage so it was an overall hilarious night. Pefferlaw was my favourite, because he was sitting front and center in perverts row, but... he wasn't watching the girls at all, he was watching the baseball beside the stage. Roland was funny too, cause it was his very first time going to a strip club and he was absolutely fixed on each girl. I had a shooter and then stole the tube it came in. Tonight we have a baseball game, possibly against the advertising team... Photojournalism vs. Advertising! Monday we had a double header... First we played one of the athlete teams, then we played the Computer Programmers. Good times! Okay... lunch time. See you all when I get home... or back to Belleville, or whenever... depending on who is reading. Oh, Matt is a chump. Haven't mentioned him in awhile. ;)

Friday, October 3rd, 2003

WELL! It's been awhile since I updated, that's for sure. I am done my work term on the Pioneer newspaper, so I had a celebration nap this afternoon when I got home. Last night was NUTS! It was election night, right? Naturally, journalists have to cover that sort of thing so I was assigned as a photographer to be at the NDP headquarters with one of our reporters to cover the whole night. So yesterday, I worked from 8am until 2am last night... THEN, I had to be back in the newsroom for 8am today.. haha, ouch. It was rough, but we got it all done in the end. I say it was rough, but it was pretty fun, too! Tonight a bunch of us are going to the Red Lion pub to celebrate being done. Classes start next week.. then home for Thanksgiving! I'll be coming home Thursday afternoon. I've barely talked to anyone all week... Now I can start having a life again, and I can stop complaining about the newspaper. :) I miss it though! Haha... Good times. Oh, what a nice nap I had this afternoon...

Sunday, September 21st, 2003

So... firstly, happy birthday, Lisa! You are legal, my friend. What else... I am exhausted and don't feel like doing anything. I hate the paper, I hate how I don't have classes, I hate cabs that don't show up and all I want is to maybe have some damn time to myself to sleep, and I REALLY want to go to Jack Astors to chill and have some good laughs, and... I don't know. Yah, I'm in one of those moods where I sure don't care. Lynn's tattoo is cool though, nice one Lynn. Lynnnnnn... we must go to Jack's this weekend. Oh, remember Sharon, Lois and Bram? Well Lois is not part of the group anymore but Sharon and Bram are still touring so I shot photos and talked to them. Good times. No. I want to sleeeeep, but I am taking a break from my millions of pages of homework to update my page. Dammit. Carp Fair will be great... I will actually get to SLEEP and have time to eat and stuff.. AWESOME. My editor didn't want me to leave next weekend, but TOO FRIGGIN' BAD. I wanna see Lynn, I wanna see Emily, family, people who I haven't gotten in an argument over the decisions on a newspaper. Like I said... Jack Astors. ;) Maybe I'll go visit my Food Basics buddies too! Yah! I should go to bed... Goodnight, I'll be in a non-bitching mood as soon as I am off the paper.

Thursday, September 18th, 2003

Well I heard from Jenn last night, that was exciting! Oh, my new baseball team played our first game last night- that was totally wicked. Shout out to BFunk for yelling at Diana, "HEY! Turn up the good, turn down the suck!" I enjoyed it very much. Let's see, what else... We lost by 3 points but we had such a blast. It was HOT though. Booo! What's all this I am hearing about Hurricane Isabel? Huh... Anyways, let's see... I start on the actual newspaper (as opposed to the Supplement) tomorrow and I don't wanna.. *sigh* I guess I'll live. Everyone (but me... too tired) went to the Winchester Arms last night, sounded like good times but everyone looks like hell now. Ah well, I stayed home and watched t.v. I think I feel better than them.... Lynn! You didn't tell me you made an appointment for Saturday... Hmmm? I wanna see when you get it...

Well, Happy Birthday to Lisa in a few days! Let's see, what's new.. The paper is driving me nuts, I am so tired, and it's been DAMN hot out lately. So in other words, things are back to normal here. Well the heat isn't normal. I made myself a sweet dinner tonight- Garlic salmon and salad. Yum yum. Terri is gone for the night so it's just me here. Derek and I have made plans to make plans, cause we're both crazy busy but wanna chill sometime. It rained today. Greg is all moved into his new place with Erin, Chris is chillin' in Smiths Falls, and Dad is in Vancouver on business, and mom is gonna go visit him in a few days. Carp Fair Weekend is coming up! I got my media pass today, good times. I was talking to Lynn on MSN today at school and then got yelled at for being on MSN... it was kinda funny. I signed off as fast as I could though- that's why I left so fast, Lynn. My editor was not impressed with me. Ah well. Time for sleep.

Thursday...

HI SARAH!!! *waves* I was supposed to mention her yesterday, but that totally slipped my mind. Rilla recognizes! i watched the Ring today, good movie. I wasn't that scared though, but Lynn brought up a good point- I now want to see "Ringu", the Japanese version that was the inspiration to make The Ring. So that's my mission... Let's see, what else... Kristay might watch my place and wait for the cable guy tomorrow night while I am out shooting.. P-Core and I might go clogging. Yaaaay. I am gonna go home now so I can shower. Dig.

Wednesday, September 10th, 2003

Well, tonight I shot photos at a watercolour painting class here at the school... (Yah, I am still at school) it went well, though I didn't use fill flash so we'll see how it turns out in the end. Friday night I am shooting photos in Trenton of some clogging... the guy who runs the place wants me to show up early so they can teach ME to clog... I think I would very much like to! So we'll see... now it's just a matter of HOW I will be getting there.. somewhat of an issue. I am hungry. Sooooo... Let's see, what else.. I had to show up at my news meeting where we were to show what work we had... with nothing. It seriously wasn't my fault, my photo editor sent me to some dance class last night that doesn't even EXIST. I was pissed... I got lost in this area of Belleville where I'd never been. So I went home (FINALLY) and was cranky. I survived. I think Kardinal Offishall is playing at the pub tomorrow night, I am gonna try to make it there. My brother would be jealous... Oh, Gregor. I am getting a puppy in February... or March. Mom and I decided we wanted a dog. We miss Jodie very much and it sucks not having a pet. I've had a pet all my life, so it'll be nice to have one again. Same kind as Jodie, except this one is going to be black apparently. So yah! I guess that is all for now... Oh, I wish Cedar all the best!

MATT SHOULD MOVE BACK HERE. We have TONS of room here! *big smile* DOOOO IT! Interesting night at MJs last night... not drinking that much rum again. Hooray. No. Ummm.. My apartment is hot today, don't know why- it's not that hot outside. Good times. Gwen and I jigged last night on the dance floor, that was neat. We were tired after.

Saturday, September 6th, 2003

WELL... Here I am, FINALLY with phone and internet. (We get cable next week) That is cool.. I mean, it wasn't a big deal not having anything like that, but it's always a plus. The phone is the thing I missed, cause it was REALLY a pain to get in touch with my friends here when trying to make plans this week. Weee. So the week went well, I am on the Pioneer this month, huzzah. Then I resume normal classes next month. Zing. Terri and I like the apartment, and it no longer smells like cat piss! Yay! We met the guy who lives down the hall from us and goes to our school too, he seems nice. We were all at the same party down on Oak St last night. That party started out pretty lame-dog, but then... people showed up and it rocked! Good times, good times. Then the cops showed up and we all went home. Terri didn't bring her wallet (therefore, no I.D) so we kinda just casually walked away... she'd been drinking more than me and had no proof of age, though she is legal. Ah well. Then I went to bed. Tonight... MJs. Yay.

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2003

WELL... I am back at school now, crazy times. Move in day at my apartment went well, Terri and I have nice sized rooms. The apartment smells like cat still, but we are working on getting rid of that. That, and we discovered we have ants. Dammit. So other than that, all is well> Oh, also... the girl who moved out before us took EVERYTHING... every lightbulb in the place, the bath tub plug, the toilet paper roll holder... WHo DOES THAT?! Okay. So that night Terri and I went to the "Beach Slam" party at the campus pub. MAN I met a lot of people, and had a great time. It's good seeing Terri, Derek, Oz, ect... everyone who I hung out with last year. Then we had registration the next day, so we went in and did that. Then we hung out on rez for awhile... then went home, then went and got more copies of our house keys made cause we had one set for the two of us. It was cool seeing all my photo people, too, and we met the fast trackers who joined our class this semester- they're super nice. Then today I got my photo taken for my new medie pass, I get that soon, plus my new student card and my ECNPA (Photographer assosciation) card. Yes! Now I am in the digital lab at school, cause I paid $1.90 for the bus here and was done everything I had to do today after 20 minutes, so I am making the trip worthwhile. Oh, I am also on the newspaper this month and have no class on Thursdays and Fridays... so when I am NOT on the newspaper, that's DAYS OFF. 4 day weekends when I am not on the paper! Now, I am gonna go eat the lunch I made... Good times. I miss everyone already though, and look forward to any visitors I have- anyone is welcome to visit, I have a guest cot you know, it's very comfy... That's right! Later. Oh, I enjoy how Lynn put on her website, "Katie and I took our legs for a walk"... Good times, good times...

I can't remember what day, I forgot to write that..

Well, yay weekend. I finished work, then went to the cottage with Lynn on Friday. We got there pretty late, so we chilled and went to bed. Saturday, we swam, though it was a windy windy (not a warm wind) day, and stood on the raft till we froze, then jumped in... repeatedly. There was some walking, some wildlife encounters, ect... Then a big dinner of corn and pork chops and then we were full. We sat on the dock around midnight-ish, checked out the star-scene, and had some crazy discussions... I am Eitak Nagillum, on the "other" earth, far away... Nnyl Nosgop is Lynn. Yah! We chilled out on Sunday, went for a boat ride, then went for ice cream in Gracefield... Then we finished our partial sandwhiches from the day before, and Lynn headed home. I stayed for a few more days, did a lot of nothing... it was cool. Then went to the dentist on Wednesday, and to Yuk Yuk's to see Chapman that night. Good show. Then Denny's. Then sleep. Clayton is now gone to Halifax... he is driving as we speak. Annie and Adam are going soon. I leave for Belleville on Monday... weeee. Go school. Tonight... was ribs night at Jack Astors!!! We'd been talking about doing this all summer. And now we have! Good times had by all. It is 1:43am. I keep tasting garlic, because garlic bread comes with the ribs. Go team.

Thursday, August 21st, 2003

Well, tomorrow is my last day of work... I am so tired, I'm glad. Tonight Sarah and I went out for ice cream, then hung out at her place for awhile and read about astrology. Yay. Last night, Lynn and I went to Emily's- we swam, then her band showed up (Last Voice Heard) and we watched them play, and hark, they are good! I didn't expect them to suck or anything, but I really enjoyed listening to them. The day before was a night out at Jack's with Lynn, Julie, Emily, Kim, and Karen X 2. The night before... Oh man, night at Jack's with Lynn and Julie. Hammer Time! So I leave here September 1st... Weeee. People have been really nice about the whole Jodie thing, thanks guys. Oh, and I got my new camera.. Still don't know how to use them damn thing. Emily... if you guys record, I will support your band and buy a CD for sure, kay? Dig. Cottage soon... Good times. Anyways, I have lots more on my mind of crazy things and such, but alas, am too lazy to write it. Ah well. "Spinning In Circles, Miracles Happen" Termination- Iron Butterfly

Sunday, August 17th, 2003

Well, what a weekend. Giant blackout... I was in Belleville at the time, but I have an apartment so it's okay. Then went to the cottage... Saturday, Jodie had to be put down, so I am really very sad about it all. I miss her terribly and can't even talk about it. Mom and I went back to the cottage on Saturday night to get away from everything, we were worn out and couldn't bare to be around here, with the phone constantly ringing off the hook as it normally does and Greg's friends in and out, we just wanted to relax. We went swimming today and had dinner at Auntie Anne's, I am still full. So, not a great weekend, but a weekend nonetheless I suppose. Two more weeks of summer at home... "And when that fog horn blows you know I will be coming home" -Van Morrison, Into The Mystic. Excellent song, good for chilling.

Tuesday, blah blah...

So I DON'T have anywhere to friggin' live, we got denied for the apartment! Seriously! We had a co-signer, references, ect... but they wouldn't tell us WHY... The only thing I can think of is the fact that we are students. NOT COOL. Lynn and I watched "Signs" tonight, good movie! We then watched Clone High... ah yes. Tomorrow... back to Belleville... again. Oh, and the family computer got MSBlast so I'll remove that tomorrow night, didn't have time to do it tonight. Oh joy. Possibly bowling on Saturday... ? We'll see. Excellent. Goodnight.

Monday, August 12th, 2003

Well Lynn comes home tonight! Yay! I also bought a giant pillow for my bed, it's almost as tall as me. And how! Today I went out with Michelle, that was neat. Guess where we went... but it was her idea! I had a good lunch. Today, I almost dropped a big box of bacon on the floor at work while wrapping slices to cook... wouldn't that have been neat. No. Did I mention I have somewhere to live for the fall? Cause I do... Yah!

Sunday, August 11th, 2003

WELL... What has happened this weekend. Friday I went to Belleville with Terri and my parents, and we now have a place to live. Yah! That night I went to the cottage. Slept. Saturday I got up, then hung out by the water, visited family, ect... Then went to a pot luck dinner at my cousin Shaun's cottage... Oh man, good food, good people, good times. Then everyone got drunk. Then today I got up very late, went visiting again, and then went swimming with mom, Aunti Anne, Eileen and Jim. We swam a few bay's lengths, so we were tired after. Then we ate. Then I came home, but we stopped at my uncle's in Aylmer. Decent weekend... Lynn comes home in 2 days! Yah! More good times. I think that's all... I have 2 more weeks of work, hooray. Then back to school.. *sigh*

Tuesday, August 5th, 2003

For some reason my alarm was turned up crazy loud, and scared the HELL out of me... I am still having a bloody heart attack. (It's 7:09am) Good times, good times... and now it's time to get ready for work. I am most likely gonna need a big old nap when I get home. Elton John's "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting" is pretty rockin'... Katie's found a new Elton song that's caught her ear. "Not again" they say...

Monday, August 4th, 2003

WELL... Decent weekend, went to the cottage Saturday night, good times. Went swimming at the diving rocks and then boating today. Then on the way home, Dad and I saw a turtle crossing the busy road so we stopped and I got him off the road. So saving a turtle is neat. I also got to talk to The Colester tonight, been too damn long, it was good times. We have big plans for the fall of our own photo assignments. Chris came by the house today but I was on the phone and missed him... no one bothered to tell me he was here. Huh. Wednesday I am going downtown with Jenn to shop for Miss Sarah's birthday present. I don't feel like working tomorrow... or doing anything for that matter. Hopefully... Friday will be back to Belleville, and maybe have some lease-signing action? We'll see. Why is it August 4th already.. *sigh* Good things and bad things about the end of August. Leaving is the bad thing, I will miss Carp.

Saturday, August 2nd, 2003

Sooooo, what has happened since I last updated? Well, I worked. I was on the friggin' phone ALL week trying to find somewhere to live in the fall because the house I was SUPPOSED to live in... is not even built. So we got screwed over good. So anyways, I went to Belleville with my parents today to see what there was, and we knew we wouldn't be able to get any appointments to actually SEE inside places cause it's the long weekend, but we got an idea of what areas would be best and whatnot. So I am going back soon. I also visited Ashley! Whoohoo! She has a very lovely house and I intend to visit her at this house during the school year. And how! Lynn got a JOB! *thumbs up* I hope she realizes I will visit home lots, since she'll be living here again, to bother her... *grins* Huzzah. I am going back to the cottage tonight for the rest of the long weekend, that'll be cool. I gave Jodie (my dog) a bath tonight, she was NOT impressed, it was cute. She was mad at me at first, but then wouldn't leave me alone... I was lying on the floor at one point, talking on the phone, and Jodie came and stood over me and just stared... I wasn't sure what to think, so when I was off the phone I got her all hyper and chased her around the house. Now I am tired. Hamish (Sarah's Dog) and my Grandma's dog Jesse became friends the other day.. oh, funny. At first Jesse was scared, but she then got hyper after Hamish kept trying to get her to play with him... as soon as she played along, he ignored her. Too funny... Oh, Sarah gave me two t-shirts, and I very much like them. Thank you Sarah. I have a lot to say tonight I suppose. I suppose I'll go get my bags packed for the cottage. I am looking forward to... Friday, so I can try my best to embarrass Sarah on her birthday, and Ribs night @ Jacks! Yah!

Sunday, July 27th, 2003

"By the time you read this, you've already read it." Hahahaha. Ahem. Uhhh... I am sunburnt, Sarah and I laughed hysterically about cardigans, and Julie and I came up with "Garbage Day Carolling." I'll tell you about that later, Lynn, you'll get a laugh. I am going to Belleville for the day next Saturday, huzzah... no. Umm... I was wearing SPF 30 today, and I still got burnt. How fair is that?! I'll tell you, it's not very fair at all.
