INTRODUCTION

You are beginning a long and exciting journey through the Civil War.  The Civil War is a major unit of study in eighth grade core.  During the study of the time period we will focus on many of the events that led to the war, those that occurred during the war, and people involved in the war. The people we will meet, places we will visit, and events that we will explore, played a large and important role in forming the country we live in today.
