people actually cheat at this? YES!!! They do and they have fun doing
it. It can be devastating to login one day and find all your items, Neopoints,
and everything you’ve worked hard for gone! So read up and learn, and remember
what you read!
The
ONLY
means by which a user can have his/her account
stolen by someone else is when that user inadvertently or intentionally gives
out their account password.

give ANYONE your password/email or change your email address for anyone
... And please remember, there
are NO codes or special programs that can give you points or items ...
if anyone says there is, they are trying to SCAM you! Anybody who says
they will give you a code/secret to getting 100,000 NP over night is trying
to scam you. Do not give them what they ask, just report that username
to abuse@neopets.com *When you choose a password, don't go for something really obvious like; password, 123456, letmein, neopets, or choose one that's close to your username. You can change your password at ANY time by clicking on 'Help' in the yellow side bar. Then click on the 'Change your Password' button. NeoPets have now made it so you cannot change your password to something simple. But PLEASE make sure that your password is complicated so that it's REAL hard to guess !!! **There are many nasty people out there who would love to get their hands on your hard earned Neo-Points and they will pretend to be the Neo-Staff, have a secret code, anything to try to get you to tell them your password!! NEVER tell anybody your password...no matter who they say they are , or no matter what they say they will do!!! *ALSO, NEVER give out your E-Mail password either ! If you give away the password to your email account, they can then get your NeoPets Password sent to them within 15 minutes!!! Then you lose your account!!! |
*If
anyone asks you for your password, email what they said as well as any
information you have about them to abuse@neopets.com.~~If
you can, copy and paste what they sent you to neopets~~on
that same note, NEVER ask anyone for their
password if they offer you their account, it's against neopet
rules and YOU could have all your accounts frozen. **Neopets did NOT put in a "security measure" that blanks out your password if you accidentally type it in the message boards/trading post. The neopets message boards do NOT censor out your password. If you post it, it will show up in the clear and the scammers will have your account. NEVER put your password in ANYWHERE except to log-in. ALWAYS check the URL if you do get logged out. If the url isn't http://www.neopets.com/loginpage.phtml do not enter your password or username. *Some very nasty people are posting links to viruses on the NeoPets site. They claim it is a link to a Neohelper program, NeoPoints.exe or a Scorchy Slots program. It is not. It is a virus that can seriously damage your computer. NEVER download ANY cheat program, most of the time it's a virus! |

Trading in the trading
post only, and all contests are banned. There
are NO secrets generator to make np.
Trading, selling, giving away accounts are forbidden. Never change your email
address.
Report ALL Scams to abuse@neopets.com.
Don't Forget: no one needs your password to send you an item or for any other reason!
