Let me have it.  I actually watched aTm beat Bama yesterday.  GREAT game.  Earlier in the day I'd watched Harver beat Yale 29-29 in 1968.  The similarities in the game were striking.  But 'nuff said.

1.  Alabama.  Still.  I don't LIKE it but there it is.

2.  Undefeated Oregon.  Go Beavers

3.  Kansas State.  4-0 vs top 30 teams.  Real football.  Not that viewo game stuff.

4.  Texas A&M.  Two losses but a win over then #1 Bama AT Bama!

5.  Notre Dame.  Nine out of Ten network execs pick ND!

Ohio State not in my top 25.  Easy schedule.  Gets tougher the next two weeks.  We'll see.  Florida State is probably the only top 25 team with an easier schedule.  I'll take the Badgers -3.5 at Camp Randall and Buckeyes -2.5 over the school up north in C-bus the following week.

QOTD.  If Bush, et al had said this.  I could've catagorized this in a LOT of places.  It is mind-nmbingly stupid and as such will be completely ignored by the liberal media.  I read it to my wife and got the smoldering death stare.

American Airlines lays off 100 from CMH.

My blogging picked up in earnest when President Obama was elected.  It has been sparse the last few days as I question some core beliefs.  I WILL be back.  In the meantime, I wnder how the Donks will handle civility in 2016.

1.  Alabama.  When OSU loses to an SEC opponent three times in a row it's a sign of how week they are.  When LSU looses to an opponent 3 times in a row it's a sign of how strong the opponent is.

2.  Kansas State.  They'll get no love, but they're my #2.

3.  Oregon.  Beat a top 10 school, then we'll talk.  Oregon State?

4.  Notre Dame.  Loss to Stanford and close call vs Pitt cost em

Ohio State still hanging around at #24.   I have 'em equal with Michigan.  Hopefully the week off gets em past the Badgers, and the C-bus fans get em past the school up north- both should be VERY close games.

And that brings us to a comment from the article about "killing" the Jews I referenced last post.  Obama supporters out celebrating his win on election night gathered on State Street Tuesday evening. One man was asked why he was celebrating Obama, and what that meant to him. He said, “It really means to me, no more Israel…Mitt Romney would go to war with Iran…Obama said f*** that shit. Kill those mother f***ers.”

Another said, “Palestine was there first, and Israel moved in in the 1940s and that’s an unfair attack.”

I wanna talk to this guy.  They didn't "move in" in the 1940s. 

• As a strictly legal matter, the Jews didn’t take Palestine from the Arabs; they took it from the British, who exercised sovereign authority in Palestine under a League of Nations mandate for thirty years prior to Israel’s declaration of independence in 1948. And the British don’t want it back.
• If you consider the British illegitimate usurpers, fine. In that case, this territory is not Arab land but Turkish land, a province of the Ottoman Empire for hundreds of years until the British wrested it from them during the Great War in 1917. And the Turks don’t want it back.
• If you look back earlier in history than the Ottoman Turks, who took over Palestine over in 1517, you find it under the sovereignty of the yet another empire not indigenous to Palestine: the Mamluks, who were Turkish and Circassian slave-soldiers headquartered in Egypt. And the Mamluks don’t even exist any more, so they can’t want it back.

So, going back 800 years, there’s no particularly clear chain of title that makes Israel’s title to the land inferior to that of any of the previous owners. Who were, continuing backward:

1976.  Ford v Carter.  Voted with my folks.  Gerald lost.

1980.  Regan v Carter.  Ohio was a slam dunk for Ron.  I was a rebelious college student.  John Anderson/

1984.  Regan vs Mondale.  Another Regan landslide in Ohio.  I had just graduated law school.  For kicks:  Lyndon LaRouch!

1988.  Bush vs Dukakis.  Another Ohio landslide.  And my first Ron Paul vote.

1992.  Bush v Clinton.  Ohio is now close.  Voted for Poppie Bush.  Wish I'd voted for Ross Perot.

1996.   Dole v Clinton.  Ohio's close again.  Dole.  Lost.

2000.  Ohio was pretty solid behind Bush.  I voted for Harry Browne.

2004.  2000 changed things.  People started talking about something called the  "national vote."  So I voted for Bush.  Who won.  My first winning candidate.

2008.  Held my nose and voted for Palin, the stink of the donks after 2000 still singing my nostrils.

2012.  Stood in uffish thought for quite a while.  Not telling.
