Singer Utada Hikaru received Japan's "MTV Video Music Award 2001" for her song "Can You Keep A Secret?" A celebration party will be held in Japan on 10/28.

According to "TIME" magazine, singer Utada Hikaru (18) will quit singing at age 28, the same age her mother quit singing. Utada said, "I think I will become a nerve specialist. I can imagine myself wearing a white labcoat experimenting late into the night." (The chances of this actually happening? Slim to none, I'd say.)
