(Sorry Dorene, I forgot all there names ... let me know, ok?)
This was taken a couple of years ago. I had contacts in.
Age makes me wear my glasses now all the time.
On something that could be a ship of some sort.
A picture is worth ... how many (hic) words already?
Enjoying his beautiful balloons.
It doesn't take much to make a child happy, does it?
Is this the Flinstone car?
This goes much faster than my car!
At least I don't have to pedal to make this one move.
Who doesn't seem to enjoy it as much as the other rides.
At the end of a day well spent.
Evelyn Van Winkle ... Living in Corpus Christi, TX
Lesley took this picture of me while I was visiting in Florida a couple of weeks ago (end of 2001).
Of course, it's cleverly cropped to hide the fact that I've gained weight! LOL
This is my daughter.
"Bad hair day ..." -- Here are two of my grandchildren.
This is my youngest grandchild, Marissa, with Santa.
(Marissa's the one on the left, heh heh)
Front row: Gisèle, François, Jeannette, Lucien, Monique
Back row: Gabriel, Denise, Carmen, Louis, Roger
This picture was taken in 1992 a few months before my mother passed away ... may she rest in peace.
I live in Cap-de-la-Madeleine, QC Canada in the same house I was borned in!
Here are my youngest brother daughters.
This picture was taken years ago when he was much 'darker'.
Now he looks more like Santa Claus. :-)
:-)
When he was just a baby ... he's much bigger now but just as cute.
She too is much (much) bigger now (She loves to eat!).
We sometimes babysit him ... As you can see he feels right at home here. :-)
And some other persons of my family. It was taken on NewYear's Eve 2002.
I'm still at the back on the left side; on the front row there is my brother
Francois (who's so many of you helped getting back to his own self with your
prayers - thanks a million). The two little girls are our nieces.
Taken this Winter. The snow didn't get much higher than that all Winter long,
which is very unusual; during a 'normal' Winter the snow goes up about half
the downstair windows.
But a beautiful one ... It was taken last summer from the top of our house.
If you look closely you'll see me in front of the fireplace.
This picture was taken years and years ago although the backyard still look pretty much the same.
We don't know this cat; he just paid us a visit one day. As you can see
he was a friendly little fellow
Here's a more recent picture of Jack (a bit bigger now than on the
other picture, isn't he?)
Same thing here except she's Pousse (my brother's cat ... and she is
more than just a 'bit' bigger!)
Here are two pictures of the first snow storm we received this year (2002).
The pictures on the left were taken an hour or so after the beginning of the storm
and the ones on the right were taken at the end of the storm some 24 hours later.

Benjamin Michael Henri Dreyer
Born July 25th 2002 - Weighing 3k220 (about 7 pounds)
Here's the new guy after a month. Getting chubby and losing his birth hair :-)
Many people requested a photo of Benjamin when he wasn't asleep ...
So here he is at one and a half months, eyes open. :-)
He is two months old on these for pictures
Already 3 months old ... and as cute as ever; so is Anthony except he is
4 years old. For those who really want to know my age well ...
Here's my granddaughter -- Age 3
Not a good pic but all I got :-)
You can't imagine what it's like to have a little girl get abducted. And I
hope you never know the feeling. But if you have any compassion in your heart,
please help find this missing little girl. She disappeared a few months ago
and still hasn't been found. She's just 5 years old!
If you've seen her, please call (512)-424-2812 or 1-(800)-346-3243.
This beautiful child has been reported missing.
If you see her somewhere please contact the police.

It says it all!
This is where I go to pray and meditate.
In the year of the proclamation of the dogma of the Immaculate Conception
(1854), a parishioner donates a statue of the Virgin to the church. This
statue of Our Lady of the Cape is still venerated in the Small shrine.
On June 22nd 1888, consecration to Mary of the small church, which thus becomes
the "Shrine". Father Frederic, o.f.m., who will become the first Director of
pilgrimages at the NDC Shrine, delivers the appropriate sermon. The same
night, three people witness the statue of the Virgin opening its eyes.
It's around this lake (which is actually a big pond) that pilgrims assemble
at night with their candles to sing and pray the Virgin Mary
These are two of my four sisters. Carmen on the left and my oldest sister
Gisele on the right.
Behind them, on the left, there is the illuminated Virgin Mary statue in the
middle of the Ste-Marie's lake. All around the lake are pilgrims with their
candles.
Here's a close-up of the statue you can see in the middle of the lake in
the pictures above
On March 16th 1879, after a mild winter during which the river didn't freeze
over, an ice bridge appears on the St. Lawrence River. Lasting a week, it
allows the parishioners to carry the stone needed to begin the building of a
new parish church. This ice bridge, called the "Rosary Bridge", was the
answer to the many rosaries recited by the parishioners with this aim in
view. The parish priest, Mr Desilets, had vowed not to demolish the small
church and to dedicate it to Mary. The 'Pont des Chapelets' bridge on this
picture was later on built to commemorate this event.
This replica of the Calvary was erected in 1916, in accordance with
Father Frederic's suggestion.
This is what's underneath the Calvary (above)
Visit the 'Sanctuaire Notre-Dame-du-Cap Shrine' site to learn more about this
wonderful pilgrimage place
Here you can see the Shrine as you would see it if you were coming by boat
from the St-Laurence river
Here you can see both shrines. The old one (also known as 'The small shrine'
or 'The small chapel') built in 1727 (or so) and the new shrine in the back
A view of the garden in front of the old shrine
Here you can see the inside of the small shrine. This picture was taken
from the back of the shrine; as you can see it is a pretty small shrine
(originally sitting only 64 people)
That is a close-up of the Sainte-Marie's sculpture
And here's a view from the front
Here's what you see when you go into the Shrine. As you can see the octogonal
design of the Shrine gives you an unobstructed view no matter where you sit
And this is a picture from the side
Here you can see a close-up of the front
This is the organ
And here's another one
This picture was taken from the steps of the Shrine. You can see a part of
the garden and the St-Laurent river in the back
This is a view of the St-Laurent river
This is a view of the Sainte-Marie's lake
Here's a picture of our church. As you can see this is a respectable sized
church. I put it here so you can get an idea of the size of the Shrine
on the next two pictures.
I don't know why, but it is hard to really appreciate the size of the new
Shrine even when you see it with your own eyes. That is why I took 5 pictures
of the Shrine and of our churches (see previous picture) at regular intervals
and then put them side by side so this gives you a better idea of the size
of the Shrine
Here I pasted our churches on the picture of the Shrine (both taken at 300')
Seen from a distance of about 2 miles
The persons on this picture were not waiting to enter the Shrine (as it was
already overcrowded); they were following the celebration from the Shrine's
steps.
(Sorry for the poor quality of all of the exterior shots)
Most of the following pictures are of persons following the celebration
from the parking lot.
All of these pictures were taken toward the end of the celebration that is
why on some pictures there are fewer persons than on other pictures of the
same location.
These are some of the busses. About half of them were from the province;
the other half were mostly from New-York and New-Jersey
This picture and the eight following are of the interior. We had to wait
until the celebration was almost over before we could get in; this explains
why on some pictures it appears that many seats were not taken
It was really hard to get a good look at the crowd, that is why I took so
many pictures
These are pictures of the Candles procession that follows the celebration
that marks the end of the Novana.
I never had attempted to take pictures in the dark before so there are all
way too dark; however you can still get a good idea of the look and feeling
of this procession (I think :-)
