To prevent black polish from looking streaky, clean your nails with polish remover (whether you’re wearing polish or not) and apply a base coat (try Chanel Base and Top Coat)> Then paint on two thin coats of black polish, waiting at least two minutes between each application (try CHANEL NAIL COULOR IN COBRA). If you think that your nails still don’t look opaque enough (think black car shiny), apply one final coat of the polish. Finish with top coat, and give your tips 20 minutes to fully dry.
