The second theme is 'Believe' inspired from a HK Pop song-turned English, sung by Alex Toh.

who: Julia Stiles, star of 'Save The Last Dance', Down To You, The Business of Strangers, State and Main, and the highly controversial, 'O'.

why her?  She is about the same age as I am, yet she is so accomplished, an incredible 'role model' so to say. She's criticised by probably most movie gurus for her choice in roles (ie Save The Last Dance, Down To You), yet she still does what she wants to do, what she believes in. Kudos to her, I hope I can only be as successful in my own field someday.

why: I actually didn't like the song initially, because it wasn't my style, but, after actually listening to the lyrics, I thought- whoa, this is me, especially now that I'm so confused about my future career prospects...

It's about not being not afraid of who you are, bearing yourself, so you can be the best person you are- 'give me room to express myself/just as long as I believe in me '.

I need to 'take a new direction' and 'believe' in my decision'- and that's the first step to success.

why bittersweet rhapsodies?: I know, it's contradictory, but the fact is there is joy in sadness- not 'jeering at the opposition's loss' kind of joy, but I mean, rather things that look as though they're for the worst, may actually be good for you in the long run, even though you may not see it at the time. Point is, there is hope for everyone...
