name: Saya
d.o.b: 10th June 1982
live: Sydney, Australia
movies: ‘Singing in the Rain’, STLD, First Wives Club, Needing You, Muriel's Wedding ('Yaw terrible, Muriel...')
songs: 'Walk On By'; Dionne Warrick; 'Everything Is You' Boys II Men, 'I Decided' R-Kelly; MHSWY, Backstreet Boys, 'Hear Me Cry', Utada Hikaru; 'Dreaming of You, Selena
I am not: A slave 4 U (not even for the Boys), the foretold Diablo, any religious figure, a Mandy-Britney-Christina clone, a movie mogul, a millionairess/billionairess/trillionairess to the Gate's fortune or anyone affiliated with John Howard getting elected as PM for the third term (justice? justice?! justice my ass!)
fan of: Backstreet---> killing the boyband rivalry, Craig David, movies, Marian Keyes, Patricia Cornwell, expressing yourself
I love: Backstreet, reading, writing, the Gilmore Girls, The Simpsons, Rove [Live] ('Say hi to your mum for me' & 'what the...' !) Starburst Rattlesnakes, R'n'B, hip, hop, instant noodles, the STLD soundtrack, the winter season, Keanu, HK drama series, teeny bopper movies, laughing, CDs, MP3s...
I hate: Pretention, mayonnaise, tomatoes, Saturday morning exams, waking up tired, load on load of assignments, vanity, sappy love songs ( 'Hero'; Enrique Inglesias & 'I Wanna Love You Forever, Jessica Simpson---> don't go there!), stupidity (I'm not Einstein, but don't cat like all you've got is a shell!) uncertainty, mosquitoes, Step classes, waiting...
addicted to: noise, my laptop, coffee, sleeping in and the net... (hey, I fit into the stereotype of a student! hehehe)
strange coincidences and other.... stuff: -I share the same birth date (including year) as actress Lee Lee Sobieski -None of my friends know each other directly- if they do, they don't get along... -My left leg kills when the weather goes whack -My friend gave me a talking 'giraffe' as my b'day present---> I was turning 19! -My birthday is exactly a month after my sister's (provided, a three year gap, but still...) My younger cousin's is exactly one month after mine---> think we got May, June and July covered! ;)! ) -I think AJ looks like Tigger.... does anyone else think that.... Or is it just me....? -I love Elmo!
I started writing Backstreet fan fic: In December 2000, after the Boys stopped by for the 100hr tour ( and never came back! :-( ----> I'm not a happy Jan! ) I hadn't been inspired in a while, but they gave me a reason to write again...
Premonition was the first story I did for English (or any other class, in this case) that didn't totally suck and got me a decent mark. 'Starting Over' was the second story (also did this for English... hmmmm...) which also got me a decent mark, and made me think 'hey, maybe it wasn't a fluke after all ;) !. January Rain therefore was my first Backstreet story, then I just went on overload and started 'Game Boy'---> 'When Words Just Aren't Enough' was the biggest fluke of it all---> it would have been either loathed ('cos of the crass factor), or adored ... thankfully, it's of the latter, thanks to you all! It was also the biggest challenge in writing ---> it took a whole year to complete ( I tend to stray), so finishing it this year was something, plus it was meant to be funny in first person (it's hard enough to write a good drama... writing a comedy is really difficult... kudos to people who are talented in this department, I don't know how you do it!)
thank you's: Thank you to all.... Girly (for the feedback) Valeigh (for the html)... to the Streetfics team (thanks for the invite... you guys are incredible!) Jenna ( for the first comment I ever got), and everyone else who voted, read, signed my guestbook, e-mailed me, demanded I update, pestered me to write sequels (I still remember you all!), pestered me again, complained about the broken links (hehehhe)... I thank you
I still love feedback so if you've got any, send it over... if you don't like something, tell me... if you've got a suggestion... tell me!
I love emails, I love feedback, I love to chat, I love the net, I love to write... all in all; this is Saya; and these are my bittersweet rhapsodies...
