For those people who haven't already choked on my ego and actually want to know what the 'mistress' of the bittersweet rhapsodies is like, here you go... may not be so interesting as you first would like to think, but then again, nothing ever is.

essentials about me

Name:

Saya

Date of Birth:

10th June 1982
Place of Birth: Hong Kong (formerly part of the British Commonwealth, but since July 1 1997, it's been handed back to China)
Age: Yes, I'm nineteen
Reside: Sydney, Australia (more than just vegemite and the surf!)
Race: Chinese, but with Spanish blood
Time Preference:

Nocturnal (It's 3:29 am)

Phrases:

'bloody hell', 'friggin hell', 'what the...', kudos', 'diss' ,'scuzzy luvvy','irks'

I Am: ticklish; don't ever tickle me, I get very squirmish, and I won't be able to stop laughing
grumpy. when someone wakes me before I'm ready. I'm not a morning person.
addicted to coffee, music and my laptop. I cannot live in silence, I have to have music or something loud to distract me.
Distinguishing Marks: all of me!... hehehe...well, i haven't got a birth mark, but i have a  four inch scar on the outer part of my left fibular... it's not pretty!
Favourite Boy:

Actually, I don't have one... i guess I love them all... they're all fantastic...yada yada yada... need I say more?

Favourite BSB Song:

Donde Quieras Yo Ire (Anywhere for You), Nunca Te He IIlora,  I Need You Tonight, All I Have to Give, One Last Cry, My Heart Stays With You

Stance on Nsync

I don't hate them, but I don't particularly adore their music... yes, i have No Strings Attached, and Celebrity, but my Backstreet CDs surpass them all... Australia's never really taken off with Nsync, although we did go Hanson and BSB crazy in 97-98

Stance on Boys girlfriends/wives

Again, I don't really have an opinion. I say, if it makes them happy, go for it. I have come across some very nasty sites about Leighanne , Mandy and even though AJ's only been dating her for as long as it takes to have a kid- Sarah Martin. I'm not outraged, but then again, there are dark sides to every person, and if the guys are going to get hurt- we can't stop them. Like this version suggests, the guys are human, and they do make mistakes- we as fans just don't want to see them make those mistakes!

 AJ's rehab stint

I say- more power to him- it takes a lot of willpower to stand up and admit you're wrong, and if he can do that long enough to change himself for the better, despite the friggin press- I say stuff the media and do what you want- he's looking mighty fly lately- and he knows it!

Nick's Arrest Everyone makes mistakes; he just did something stupid, and it got in the papers because he was a celebrity. If he was anyone else, he probably would have gone to jail, but the fact was, he didn't. I don't believe he was arrested, merely because of his celebrity status, but the way he handled the situation. It was stupid, and I bet he's sorry, but it's over and done with, so with all due respect, people should just stop talking about it.

inspiration

Why:

'Premonition' was the first story I wrote that didn't totally suck, and actually got me an 'A' in English- since then,  I've always loved writing, and wrote about everything and anything I've seen, known or felt. The Boys themselves, I have become a platform for expressing myself of late

Are any of the characters I?

In a way, they're all a part of me. I'm passive like June, and believe somewhat the same ideas as Minerva when it comes to love and men. I am not as extreme as she is, although judging by my past track record- lets just say, the character of Minerva may not be an exaggeration as it may seem...

I am Kenix in the fact I live in a predominantly Asian household, and ideas clash when my somewhat semi traditionalist parents clash with western ideas

Fact or Fiction? Not much of it is actual fact, but rather things that inspire me when I go out, or a song on the radio, a news event. The world is an unpainted canvas for you to fill, a box of inspiration you draw from. Life itself is inspiration; all you have to do is have an open mind and look.

favourites

Music:

Backstreet Boys,

 needless to say,

Craig David

(who doesn't love him?),

Savage Garden

(too bad they broke up) ,

The Beatles

Yes, I do love the band- they only lasted for about a decade, but to actually have the power to influence an entire a generation- whoa. Kudos to Ringo Starr, the oldest Beatle and still surviving- may he have many more years of life ahead of him

Burt Bacharach-

Okay, so he's not an artist as per say, but a lyricist, but I do love the stuff he's done- Close to You, Walk On By...yada yada yada... the list goes on...
Favourite Songs

Walk On By-

Dionne Warrick

I have no idea who sings it, it's really old.

All The Love In The World-  The Corrs
Reads

Patricia Cornwell series-

Kay Scarpetta, the Chief Medical Examiner of Virginia, Wesley. and Temple Brooks Gault- love it all

 Looking for Alibrandi; Melina Marchetta

They made us read it for school, but it is incredible, despite being a regulatory text

The Life and Crimes of Harry Lavendar-  Marle  Day

I love this book because of how she describes Sydney- it has a lot of character and depth, a lot of the way I see Sydney myself.

Wuthering Heights- Emity Bronte

Pride and Prejudice- Jane Austen

Movie

Singing in the Rain-

I adore Gene Kelly, he can dance, sing, act- friggin do everything- multitalented

Speed-

Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock, a bomb on a bus- what more do you need?

Pride and Prejudice-

Okay, I lied, I never read the book, I just saw the BBC production- man, it was good- Colin Firth as Mr Darcy- no wonder they cast him in Bridget Jones' Diary.

While You Were Sleeping-

I know, featured in January Rain as the movie that Brian and Johanna were arguing over...but it is a very charming, if not predictable movie

Pleasantville-

I thought it was really good- I loved the transition... the books filling with words was cool..

The Sixth Sense-

I've seen The Exorcist, and although the Sixth Sense is nowhere near as scary, I loved the twist- for those of you who haven't seen it, I won't give it away. Unbreakable was okay, but the sixth sense is better, for sure.

What Lies Beneath-

This is not one of my favourite movies, but I reckon it should get a mention, just because it scared the hell outta me! The warped mix of supernatural, horror and suspense drove me up the wall... I was scared shitless!

The Ring-

Hollywood is trying to make their own version, but I don't know if it'd rival up to the Japanese version. I was scared out of my wits after watching this- I couldn't understand half of it, since it was in Japanese with Chinese subtitles, and in broad daylight, but the suspense and horror- nothing compares.

And I Hate You So-

Typical romantic comedy, starring HK popstars, Aaron Kwok and Kelly Chen- torrid love/hate relationship- But I love it anyway

Needing You & Love On a Diet-

Okay, Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng are definitely a great match- I love the movies, but I have to admit the radio play of Needing You is better.
