Music
Music during this era was fascinating in how much changed so quickly...there was so much to choose from. Punk was our grunge, New wave seemed to overtake us the way pop is now (boy bands...) and I know I noticed that Rap was starting to infiltrate even in the early '80's (good or bad...)...luckily,for me anyway, the early signs of metal were showing too...it wasn't until the late '80's that it would save me...I may dedicate another page to that era in the future...god help us all.
Anyway, enjoy what I've got...so far!!

Absolute 70's
Who can even think about the late '70's without thinking of Peter Frampton...who didn't have Frampton Comes Alive? (Unless you were totally uncool...) All the big arena bands come to mind, like...Boston, Journey, REO Speedwagon, Supertramp, Styx, KISS, Aerosmith...such great stuff. Concerts were such an event back then...one big party...!!!

Teenyboppers
Even when I was getting "cool" and being exposed to the good stuff by older siblings...I continued to hold on to the pretty boys. Andy Gibb was the last one to be replaced by a KISS poster but he was not the only one...the Bay City Rollers (precursor to boy bands...?), Shaun Cassidy and basically any other singer(?) that was prettier than me and most of my friends...of course I went straight to Paul Stanley who wears more makeup than all combined but at least he had hair on his chest.

New Wave
While everyone was hopping on the New Wave bandwagon, I was hanging on to the punk rock I had discovered at the end of high school and on into college. There was a difference as far as I was concerned...these days it's harder to hear. I did love the GoGo's...of course, I was also listening to them and Duran Duran and the Clash and U2 and Billy Idol(i.e.Generation X) long before they became "cool". The music started becoming very clean and "poppy" at a certain point and started all sounding the same...love it or hate it, I still get a warm feeling and want to dance every time I hear it...yes, even Culture Club (ecccchhh!).
