Hamilton County Sheriff Billy Long Arrested By Federal Authorities For Bribery, Extortion
Federal officials announced Saturday afternoon they had arrested Hamilton County Sheriff Billy Long for bribery and extortion.
Russ Deaderick, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Tennessee, said Sheriff Long accepted a number of cash bribes over a lengthy period.
